Cannot praise this place enough.I like different cuisines and honestly Ottawa area has few gems but also a lot of mediocre and quite frankly bad food, but somehow still in business.This is not one of those. For a starter, its in Quebec. My duck confit was so exquisite, i enjoyed every single bite, took precious time (about half an hour)to really enjoy it all. Sadly not allowed to drink alcohol, but even without any pairing it was great.Then I contemplated to going back to all my previous reviews and knocking a star off on every one of them - it would be unfair, but it was that good.To quote my partner, it looked like I was in love. And i was!Only bad thing is that the moment had to pass... But this is definitely one of those places where i will come back.Staffs were welcoming and friendly, and the whole place was vibrant.

This place was fantastic. One of the best vinegrettes I’ve ever had - so good we ended up ordering a second salad. Duck was amazing. Scallops were a hit. Waiter was delightful. Setting was handsome but not at all stuffy. Prices were fair to boot.

Putting aside the food aspect of our most recent experience at Les Fougeres, which was exceptional as always, I would like to highlight the exemplary level of service we felt dining in yesterday evening. The last few years have been difficult for the restaurant industry to be sure. As a consumer paying almost double the price to dine out compared to five years ago, it seems too often when dining at high-end restaurants the service is lacking. You sometimes feel as if your presence is an inconvenience to the waitstaff. Not at Les Fougeres. It is obvious that the staff here feel great pride in what they do, as they should, through their knowledge, attentiveness and enthusiasm for creating the best possible dining experience for their guests. So although the food was great, I was blown away most by how welcoming and friendly each staff encounter was. Regrettably I don't recall the gentleman's name who served us on Valentine's Day, taller and dark hair, but he was truly fantastic. Thanks again and looking forward to our next visit.
I really enjoyed the experience. It had been a few years since my last visit. I enjoyed this place for the flovors and gastronomy and not be a filler restaurant with potatoes, rice or bread. Ambiance is great, service is also awsome. Had the cheese and confiture plate. Duck and sea food as dish and creme brulé. The creme brulé is not on the menu but so good with orange sanguine marmalade.

Did not dine here but purchased their Spicy Thai soup from Jacobsons. It was good albeit a little too salty. Also, my concern was with regards to the labeling. There was no ingredient list and one needs a magnifying glass to read the nutrition facts. After reading the fat content at a whopping 49% I won’t be trying this soup again.

Great service in a romantic atmosphere.This place was well worth the drive from Ottawa. Staff was warm and welcoming. Waters were filled often, and our server was always close to check up on our table. I noticed our cutlery and napkins were always clean because the staff replaced used cutlery when they walk by.Every dish was good to its last bite. The duck confit was full of great flavour and textures. Pizza was great to be shared. Desserts were smaller than expected, but they were nice and light.

Amazing pizza! We had the pork belly pizza and it was the star of the night. Also had the lamb which was good but wasn't a fan of the side (onion stuffed with eggplant). We had the chocolate fondant cake for dessert, very good. Overall super happy with the service and food. I would recommend.
Lovely holiday meal with 3 generations. Loved the bread, St Lawrence dish (scallops, shrimp & mussels), the lamb, and all desserts, pecan pie, chocolate fondue cake, apple crumble. Love the Gordon Harrison oil paintings, short 15 minute drive from Ottawa. Charming wait staff, great music. Thanks for a relaxing evening!Parking: Around 20 spotsKid-friendliness: Very welcoming to our teens.

Friendly staff, service is fantastic, and food was just delicious... it was my first visit and it won't be my last.
I've wanted to come here for a while.It was good, we sense that there is some brain power in the kitchen.We waited quite a long time between the starters and the main course for a restaurant with 9+ staff (we had time to count at the time) and a maximum of 20 customers, it was a bit like asking what is the point of have so many employees.I received my perfectly grilled fish, still nothing to say in terms of culinary quality, but don't hesitate to be generous with the garnish!!!I estimate I had a potato and a half the size of my wrist with my two fish fillets. I had to push myself to finish my dish in a balanced way and I ended up eating only fish at the end.For the price... A potato is worthless even organic, don't hesitate to put a second one in the portion.We were all cold throughout the meal as well.It was good, but I will not return to this establishment.
