About Roy Jucep

Roy Jucep is a charming little restaurant with a retro 1970s vibe, decorated with walls and pictures that create a nostalgic atmosphere. It is claimed to be the birthplace of poutine and offers over 30 different types, including Cajun and French-style poutines with pepper sauce, which many customers find delicious. The traditional poutine here features a unique, sweet sauce that some consider the "authentic" sauce, while the brown sauce is seen as the original. The dessert poutine with churro fries remains a popular highlight. The restaurant has plenty of parking, making it convenient for large crowds. The staff is friendly and attentive, with servers doing their best to make guests comfortable, even if English is limited. Visitors appreciate the generous portions and the beautiful presentation of the plates. While the hot dog was disappointing, the poutine is highly praised. For those with dietary restrictions, Keto poutine is available. Customers also note that the atmosphere is welcoming, and there is a sense of community, with no judgment about breastfeeding on site. Overall, Roy Jucep offers a warm environment where guests can enjoy a variety of poutines and a nostalgic experience.

We really enjoyed this place. We were 7 of us. The server was very nice and explained all the different menu items well. Service was somewhat quick, we weren't in a rush. The place and restrooms were clean. Atmosphere was quiet . We all had poutine in one format and type or another, all very good sized and very delicious. They are after all the inventor of the poutine! Highly recommended!

And that’s a regular Poutine, it’s ginormous. I had a trio and a large juice before I continued my journey to Quebec.

Perfect portions, i really liked the coleslaw, all was good!
