It's a good option for eating Peruvian cuisine in Gatineau.

Terrible service. The waiter was so stupid and I asked for a starter that I didn't like and wanted to change it for something else having only taken one bite. He looked at me like I was stupid and refused. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. TO RESPOND TO THE RESTAURANT'S RESPONSE FOR THE WELL-BEING OF CUSTOMERS AND HEALTH STANDARDS. It is absolutely disrespectful to give this reason. I have NEVER seen good restaurants refuse to change a dish that a customer didn't like unless they had eaten all or most of it. I only took one bite. Having been in customer service for high end restaurants. Health standards have never stopped us from exchanging a dish that a customer did not like. There is no standard that would justify refusing it. You just didn't want to lose money! $10 for a boiled potato cut into pieces is absurd!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Amazonas and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the friendly staff and seated promptly at my table. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with beautiful decor and soft lighting that created a warm and welcoming ambiance. The menu offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, with something for everyone, and the presentation of the food was absolutely stunning.I decided to start with the ceviche, which was incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor. For my main course, I chose the stired lomo with onions and tomatoes, which was cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The sides were equally delicious, with a flavorful quinoa salad. But what really set Amazonas apart for me was the service. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was seamless from start to finish.Overall, I would highly recommend Amazonas to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The food, atmosphere, and service were all top-notch, and I can't wait to go back and try more of their amazing dishes!Vegetarian options: Quinoa saladKid-friendliness: Family restaurant

The owner of this place is so impolite, he is lucky his wife is nice because if not I’ll never probably come back to this place, he looks down at people he doesn’t say hi back, especially with Latin people like he thinks he is better or something, someone needs to give him a reality check.

The owner is very rude to customers, it seems like he is doing you a favor by serving you.

Went there with a group of friends. Everyone enjoyed the food. The server was slow and not very attentive even though there weren't that many other customers.

This is a modest but charming little converted house in old Alymer, with modest but tasty Peruvian food - though i only tried the Arroz con Pollo (chicken --moist and delicious thigh and leg -- and green rice, with peas and herbs), which was delicious, and come with a little tomato and red onion (heavy) salad. Nice red wine avaiable. Soft South American pop - maybe from the 1980s - playing.

My husband and I went for saint Valentin day. We wanted to eat Peruvian food. We new this restaurant before when it was in Ottawa. They have a special menu for saint Valentin 40$ per person. We had the Chupe de pescado, yuca frita stuffed with cheese, so yummy. I never had yuca like that anywhere, I really recomend it!Then to finish the meal we have a flan.I also loved the music, I wanted to get up and dance!I want to go back a taste everything in the regular menu!Dietary restrictions: They take care of you if you let them know about your restrictions. They even have a post about dietary restrictions, they want the costumers let them know so they can take special care for them.
