I recently had the pleasure of dining at Amazonas and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience. This is a modest but charming little converted house in old Alymer, with modest but tasty Peruvian food - though i only tried the Arroz con Pollo (chicken --moist and delicious thigh and leg -- and green rice, with peas and herbs), which was delicious, and come with a little tomato and red onion (heavy) salad. Nice red wine avaiable. Soft South American pop - maybe from the 1980s - playing.

My husband and I went for saint Valentin day. We wanted to eat Peruvian food. We new this restaurant before when it was in Ottawa. They have a special menu for saint Valentin 40$ per person. We had the Chupe de pescado, yuca frita stuffed with cheese, so yummy.
