Cassis used to be one of my favorite places to go when I was in Aylmer; however the portion sizes have shrunk considerably and the prices have also increased. It may be my imagination but I also find that the gelato is not as rich and creamy as it used to be (more watery?). I’ve been twice this summer and both times the person serving me scooped my cup level with the top of the cup (they used to have heaping portions, and you will see this in some of the older pictures). The cup size was 90ml and cost $8.68 with tax. The flavor was ok, but again, not as rich and flavorful as I remember from previous years. This is probably my last time at Cassis. So sad.

Very nice little gelato and sorbet place. We had the chocolat, peanut and hazelnut gelato. The chocolat gelato is very good. Dogs are allowed inside and they have dog treats. The place is very small therefore I recommend eating the gelato while walking towards the marina. Great service.

We’ve been supporters of this local business for years, but recently the prices have ballooned out of control to almost double what they used to be. It feels like the business has turned its back on the very community that brought it success and began to gouge people at tourist-trap prices.
Cassis was: The place.
Now the ice cream is industrial. Scoop partner.
The price is mind-blowing.
Only a fool pays $30 for 3 ice creams.
The scents are basic.
Where did the lemon basil go?
I came at least 2 to 3 times a month with my family. I won't go anymore. Damage.
In addition, the service has become unpleasant.
Go your way.

I love this place and I won't stop going there. On the other hand, I noticed that the portions are smaller than before. Maybe because of the renovations and they have more employees?

The best place to eat gelato in the area. The employees are always smiling and motivated. I love this place conveniently located on the main street.

My favourite part about ordering tonight was watching the two teens serve their two friends ahead of me, and massively double up on their mini bowls.
Then I step up to order a mini bowl and they scraped the ice cream to the edge of the bowl.
I point this out by saying ‘ I guess I need to be one of your friends’ and hold my bowl next to the other two teens to show the big difference; and the cashier smiles and shrugs; and then they all laugh as I walk out.
Overpriced rip off shady staff.
There’s another shop two minute walk.

Best gelato in the Ottawa area! My favourite is the yogurt flavor.
Everything is very good but special mention to the yuzu and salted peanutsIs there a petition for adding the sweet red bean paste scent? Otherwise I will create it!

The best in town. So delicious and fresh!
Most delicious gelato. Have been going since they opened years ago and enjoyed overflowing cups of multiple flavours at unmatched prices (look at past posts). Since Le Scoop has taken over, prices are much higher for half the portion! It is unfortunate as we can no longer enjoy a beloved local product as often as we used too, and likely the same for families when buying four small cups costs $32!!
Delicious!
Insane gelato bruh
The best Gelato!
