I always enjoy smoke meat, Nickkes offers a good one in the Ottawa area. The service was courteous. We went during a weekday in mid afternoon and we got a seat quickly.

Sat down at the counter to order a coffee and pie. I wasn't looked at until I had to get the attention of a waitress. They just looked at me. No one offered water or anything just standing around on their phones. Finally I got my coffee which was burnt and clearly old and a piece of pie which was okay.
When it came time to pay the waitress asked how much I wanted to tip ... I replied none and she proceeded to try and take off with my change and put it in her purse.
It was the worst dining experience I've had in a while.

Went for a late breakfast, almost lunch. Ordered meal items and the portions were huge and wonderful. The staff were all very kind and checked in with us but, weren't intrusive. Had enough food left over we took it to go. I think our severs name was Nico, he was very kind and the price was very good for the large portions. I would recommend and I would return.

Received our breakfast very fast, warm and with a very nice smile. Where things went south is in the quality of the food. One of our guests in the group was served a piece of ham that had gone bad. Very insulting to get bad quality food.
Service is good Prices are fair but portions are very small, we were 3 men, the plates looked like it was prepared for a child, if you're hungry don't go there because you will be very disappointed. Im never going back thats for sure.
