We ate at the St Hubert yesterday for lunch. Overall it was decent. We had the lunch specials, rice bowls, chicken Caesar and wraps were the entrees. The food was okay. Apart from the dessert which we loved - the brownie, the part of the meal was the service. The food was served quickly and our server, Arletys was polite and extremely helpful in explaining the options. .

Food is great...

Service was subpar though.. Waitress only showed when serving the food then disappeared for very long. When we finally could grab her attention to ask for a salad refill, she refused claiming that shared meals don't get refills which is not written anywhere.

30 more minutes before we could request the bill, which is completely unacceptable.

I visited the restaurant with friends, and we ordered two main dishes. When we asked for a refill of the salad, we were told that because two people shared one dish, they would not provide a refill.

This was very disappointing. Salad refills are considered part of the service and are not restricted by how many dishes are ordered. If such a rule exists, it should be clearly stated on the menu or explained at the time of ordering, so customers are not left with a negative impression.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the customer experience.

So dark and dreary. Breast meat was dry and fries are like mcdonalds fries when bit stale. Swiss Chalet fries destroys St Huberts fries. Coleslaw was the best part and it was good but we had to ask for more as server never asked us or offered on her own. Didnt clear anything as we finished even my coke after she brought my refill. She did come around asking how we were doing couple times though. Pop glass used is tiny but free refills but never once asked to get me another had to ask myself again. Daughter tried to wave her down after a long stretch of not checking on us my daughter said server saw her but ignored her. This is probably the least enjoyable time ive ever had at a St Huberts and we luv going there when visiting from Toronto. I def wont be going back to this location as i lost all nistalgic feels for St Hubert that day. The visit could have been so much better with more attentive service and better food. Very MEH.

I always enjoy going to St-Hubert. The chicken is delicious, the portions are generous, and the prices are fair. The staff is attentive and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. It’s a perfect place for both a quick bite or a sit-down dinner. Highly recommend!

We walked over to this location in Gatineau from Ottawa because we miss St. Hubert. Unfortunately, we no longer have any locations near us in Ontario. As a couple of people have mentioned, it was noticeable that our service changed once people realized we only spoke English. Nonetheless, in terms of the food, it was delicious. We really enjoyed the fact that the chicken fingers are now available in Nashville flavour. Kids meals are served in little cars which are cute. Although we were never told by our sever until our bill arrived, Wednesdays kids eat for $5. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and wish we had more St. Hubert in Ontario. 🍽️🍗

This place, even though it is a chain, is great. We cross the border into Quebec just to go here.

If you want a chicken experience that is not quite as good as Swiss chalet, this is your place. The funny thing is I remember it being exactly the same 35 years ago when going through Quebec. There is lots of good stuff, the plain coleslaw is wonderful, and unlimited refills. Water refills we super fast. I can't understand why there was no salt on the fries, particularly when they are just plain, uncoated fries. Adding salt at the table is not the same. The sauce is ok, but you don't get the feeling it was made from chicken drippings. Its more like institutional hot chicken sandwich sauce. My wife had a BBQ Cesar as well, and it was pretty poor. Watery. Any of the pre-made Ceasars are soooo much better. Daughter had the chicken Ceasar salad and enjoyed it 10/10. The weirdest part however was when we were presented the bill and the waitress asked how much change I wanted back?? In my 50 years of dining, never have I been presented with figuring out how much tip I want to subtract from the change amount before I have paid? I didn't have my reading glasses, and couldn't really understand how i was supposed to know how much the bill was and how much I should leave, well not leave, I had to figure out the change amount and then deduct the tip amount? And when it was apparent that I would need a moment to figure out what was going on the waitress stood there and made it super uncomfortable. Just bring me my change, and I'll take it from there.. my 100$ bill covered the bill easily, I just dont understand what was going on, very unconventional. Then I guessed at a change amount, and my change came in loonies amd quarters? Like a pile of it. Just wierd. Anyways, its a nostalgic experience, but it will likely be another 35 before I try again.

Quick and friendly staff. Made place for our 7 people in a few minutes. Did not have to wait to order either. They were very accommodating with our 2 kids.
