I have been following this Lebanese restaurant since their very first days, when they were operating mainly as a kitchen and doing takeout only. Then came Time Out Market, and now Crescent. From the beginning, their food has carried that real Beirut soul — honest, warm, deeply flavorful, and made with a level of care you cannot fake.

To be very honest, whoever is leading this kitchen is not just good; they are beyond talented. The food is not simply “delicious.” It is emotional. It tastes like memory, family, tradition, and Beirut itself.

My only sadness is that they never expanded the way they truly deserved to. But maybe that is also the fate of many family businesses: they give everything, they stay humble, they work with heart, and one day they either get tired, close, or sell. And when that happens, you realize that to taste food like this again, you either have to fly to Beirut… or visit it in your dreams.

This place is a rare gem. Respect to the family, the chef, and everyone behind it.One word: outstanding.

As a restaurant professional and culinary alchemist (I did not go to culinary school, but I have a B.S. in Chemistry), the food will sell itself, but Muhammad made for a great experience. “I’ve tried shawarma from many places in Montreal and Laval, but I had never truly enjoyed it. A Lebanese colleague at work recommended this restaurant to me, and I ordered the Shish Taouk trio. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement… The shawarma and the potatoes were absolutely delicious — not greasy at all, yet still juicy and full of flavor. It felt as if I had been transported back to Lebanon.

I would like to sincerely thank the owners for the wonderful experience and the pleasure your food brought me. I’ve now found your restaurant in Laval, and I can’t wait to treat my children — they’re going to love it! I hope the quality at “Basha” in Laval is just as amazing as it is in Montreal!“

“A real gem of the Old Port!

The meat has great flavor, the salads are fresh, the portions are very generous. A mixed plate always gives me two meals. The prices are completely reasonable.

I also really like herbal teas. The ginger one wakes you up for the afternoon.

As for the service, it's great! The staff is very friendly and remembers the preferences of their regulars.“
