“Surprisingly walked past this 100% plant based restaurant in Montreal and knew we had to try it!

Flavourful, delicious, and lots of great options - we tried the Kao Kra Pao (with the powders they provided it was spicy and great flavour) and the chai-yo sandwich 93 which was also great! Thai iced tea to go with our meals.

This was just nooked perfectly around the corner of my hotel, but I had never had anything from here, not even from my home state. The rep was so kind in explain the menu to me (in English, might I add) as my French is pitiable! I got the healthy option of soup instead, & even got a free samosa. I came back next day, you bet! Not for the samosa, but for the service & delicious food!“

Only thing when ordering online, there's no designated spot to collect your order, and they don't prepare your order in advance (though granted, it was lunch rush), so I would say if you're not doing delivery, just order in person, even if the line is long, it goes fast and the food preparation is quick“

“Pandemic update (since Jun 22): Place is clean, staff wear protective gear and people can still eat inside (makes sense there are not many spaces). The food is still good quality. No delivery, but there is takeout (similar to before the pandemic). I asked since the opening times are odd, but they are only open from 11am-8pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays.“

“Thai Express is a franchise and I always expect the same quality no matter where I go in Canada.
That sadly is NOT the case.
This was driven home to me when I was fortunate enough to be in my old neighbourhood in Montreal today- at the Alexis Neon Plaza- in the food court (which can be quite enjoyable, most especially if you take your food out under the vast sun roof, where there is plenty of light and space and right now fun festive holiday lights)

The food at the Alexis Neon’s Thai Express puts all others in the dust.
Fresh, not over sauced with a variety of veges, not just green peppers and onions.
They take the time to inquire about dietary concerns(I’m a gluten sensitive) in addition to the friendly relaxed service.
It feels “homey” in a food court.
Imagine that.

It hasn’t changed in quality since we left that neighbourhood in 2018. And I mean it when I say, I go to that Franchise every where I work out of town and in Montreal expecting the same quality. I am however, always disappointed.
Today did not disappoint. Yummy!
Great to be back.

“Small cute restaurant. The chef is always around and says hello, adding a very personal touch. Bring your own wine too.

The food: 5 stars. So flavourful.. the best general Tao ever!!! The best curry coconut milk soup , the trio grillade super good. We've been there 6 times for dinner and never disappointed
The price ; 30 -40$ , but you eat so well. Dishes are very generous portions. The value is definitely there.
The service is slow each time we went, so don't expect in and out .. but its ok if you're on a no rush evening dinner with friends.“
