These guys are the best group of people ever. Try the Sous Marin Speciale. Smoked meat poutine. Or ever steamed hot dogs my toppings of choice are mustard and onion with cayenne pepper. Washed down with a glass bottle of coke. The glass bottle just makes it that much better.“

They make classic chickpea falafels that are both perfect in texture and in taste. They offer classic toppings but they really stand out for their personal twist with sumac, sesame seeds, amazing preserved lemon slices and sauces which you won't see at other falafel shops. Hanny also gave us muhammara to try, I am very picky about my muhammara and I can confidently say it was amazing. My friend had the Shish Taouk which she raved about. We found this place randomly while looking for food to enjoy at the nearby park, unfortunately there was construction everywhere around the little shop but a small passage was created to let people get through. The food and hospitality are 1000% worth the effort. There is also seating upstairs and a picnic table outside.“

“While we've been staying in Montreal, we have gotten food from this place several times. First off, this place has a vintage cozy interior with booths that look out onto the busy street. Second, the staff here is friendly, quick, and very organized. Lastly, the food is authentic and well prepared. Our favorite thing here is an all dressed steamy and the classic poutine. As someone who cooks all the time, I'm extremely critical about food quality and taste. That's why I was genuinely surprised and impressed with Poulet Rouge on my first visit!

We ordered the chicken bowl with salad and quinoa, the chicken bowl with brown rice, and the chicken poutine. Everything exceeded my expectations for a fast food franchise. The chicken was well-seasoned and properly cooked, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were spot-on. This isn't your typical fast food - the quality really shows.

Beyond the food, the service was great, the restaurant was clean, and there was comfortable seating available. Our order came out quickly without compromising on taste or presentation.

*UPDATE 2025.12.03: Strange. The first time I needed assistance to place a large order for a group of 40, I had plenty of help but not today. I was not-so-gently redirected to place the order online - the incentive being there are no discounts or deals when you call and online costs $70 less!
But now my card is not going through (not a MC issue/they confirmed all was fine) and I can't place the order. So what now?
There is no help online. No customer service hotline that can assist. I need to wait for the store to open at 11 am but that will be very lasty-minute for such a large order.
I guess that's what happens when corporations cut back to make more profit - the customer winds up floundering.
I guess I'm back to finding alternatives for the group lunch. What a shame.“

Loved Lafleur’s for years and have been coming hear for almost as many. The newer update of the building is a bit colder and lacks the nostalgic personality of the old place and is much roomier and streamlined, but personality and warmth are now gone.
The michigans are as usual delicious and sauce yummy. The dog is the dog and always good.
The fry was tasty and the portion very generous, interesting far superior to a New York Fry product, around the same price, tastier; and more than TWICE the portion. NYF needs to learn a thing or two from this chain.

No complaints. The reason why the food is not a 5 is that it’s not exception. It’s a very very good place for this fast food, but there are other places that serve this type of food at a higher level so I hold back.
