“Went for a quiet Birthday dinner with my husband. It was perfect. Tables aren’t too close, music and lighting aren’t overwhelming like most places. Friendly staff, good service and great food. SO NICE to have seafood cooked perfectly. Will definitely go back and highly recommend”

“First time here and was blown away. The "Platter for 4" is well worth your money. It can be easily shared for 5-6 ppl. Our server was great too. She made sure we got everything we needed and refilled our waters accordingly.”

“I stop here a lot and love the food. Sure, there are a lot of Belle Province Restaurants in Quebec, but will they make you a smoked meat poutine for breakfast? Probably not. These guys are the best group of people ever. Try the Sous Marin Speciale. Smoked meat poutine. Or ever steamed hot dogs my toppings of choice are mustard and onion with cayenne pepper. Washed down with a glass bottle of coke. The glass bottle just makes it that much better.”

“Brought my son over to turn his frown up side down and brighten up his day with a donut and some hot cocoa. There was no hot chocolate being served. Huh?! But there was hot white cocoa available. Now we're converted only to white. It's so good. But answer me this. How do you not have cream cheese for the bagels ???? And rolls of brown paper towel to substitute napkins??? All in all, service was quick, bagels and donuts were still good. And I enjoyed my large double double.”

“I heard good things about Elena and I understand the hype now! We tried a lot of different kind of pizza and they were all very good. I generally prefer the ones with tomato sauce but I enjoyed trying different flavours. The pizza with the potatoes and the one with the mushrooms was nice to try. I didn’t enjoy the 4 cheese one but that’s just my preference. Their dough was the star of the show 10/10! It was delicious!”

“This place is simply amazing. The food is creative and delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. The vibe is casual and cozy. The highlight of my meal was the foie gras dessert. Yeah, it sounds kind of wrong but tastes extremely right. Almost like a banana foster with duck liver instead of ton of butter. Wine list is impressive as well. They serve d'yquem for dessert if someone is willing to drop major bucks.”

“The food was incredible. We had the cod croquette, maguro don, duck mazemen and pudding with a bit of sake. Everything was delicious, better than any croquette, duck or tuna we've ever had before. I just can't possibly emphasize enough how much I recommend it.The atmosphere was nice, pretty chill, the tables were quite close to each other but it's pretty common in such restaurants. No loud music which we really appreciated.The service was nice although they lacked professionalism. For example, they'll let you wait more than 10min (without apologizing for the wait) if you're polite and wait in the entrance to get seated, even if they saw you. I learnt from the people who came after us that you have to come in & stand in the middle of the way, only then will they happily seat you right away..”

“I would have to say that this was absolutely one of the best meals we’ve ever had!!! We started with a plate of Oysters that were perfect! We had the Arctic Char for 2 with a side of Gnocchi and Caesar salad the fusion of flavour in the sauce on the Char was heavenly. The fish was done to perfection!! The Gnocchi was unlike any we had ever had and the herb oil drizzle highlighted the perfect texture and flavour of the gnocchi. The deconstructed Caesar was perfect!! We finished the meal off with the Maple Creme Brûlée. The entire staff were friendly supportive and knowledgeable from the moment we walked in!! C’est Manifique!! Bravo!!!”

“Excellent food, but it lacks the "wow" effect to give it the 5th star, given the price we pay here.Favorites for hot oysters. The other dishes were all good but my expectations were higher for a restaurant where you pay close to $150-200 per person.Courteous service and a beautiful dining room (too bad the view outside is a little depressing though).”

“Vin Mon Lapin is THE restaurant to absolutely try in Montreal!!! We find it at the top of the ranking of the 100 best restaurants in Canada and it fully deserves its 1st place! From starter to dessert, it is a unique experience of textures and flavors thanks to the creativity of chef Marc-Olivier Frappier. My favorite starter was without a doubt the classic “scallop croque”, Yummy!!! My favorite dish: pork shoulder on a bed of spelled… so delicious! And finally my favorite dessert (they were all sooo good): maple cannolo. It’s an experience to be repeated often, especially because the menu varies according to the seasons and availability, so I’ll definitely be going back very, very soon!”

“On le connait bien pour son brunch mais L'avenue sur Notre Dame c'est aussi LA place où aller pour un délicieux souper dans une ambiance branchée et à la fois décontractée. Le beef cake est simplement délicieux, rien de similaire dans d'autres restos. La burrata et son accompagnement de legumes, un incontournable. Les cockails sont succulents, frecious precious mon grand préféré. Une serveuse tout sourire même quand elle doit gérer une reservation de 24 personnes ! La musique et la déco unique (même dans les toilettes) pour couronner le tout. En date ou en groupe d'amis, un souper à l'avenue c'est le bonheur garanti !”

“A great French restaurant, with amazing food, wine list, and service. If you go during the day time, try to book à table under the glass ceiling! I really liked their appetizers and desserts the most, their paté was amazing, and the bone marrow, chèvre salade, grilled octopus, duck confit were also really tasty. “I like how the staff didn’t bother using any French on me and assumed I was an English speaking American. ? The food was amazing. Staff was great. I was under the weather so I didn’t get to engage as much with the restaurant or people and ordered takeout to eat at home. The energy of the restaurant was positive and of course smelled great.I ordered the spicy wing combo with spaghetti and it was the pick me up I needed. I opted for spaghetti as the side and still got blessed by the team with rogue delicious spicy fries along with a delicious dipping dipping sauce. As someone who is used to fried chicken in the southern United States, this was a top tier fried chicken meal.”
