“Many people are complaining about the service here, but for me, the food is what matters most.

Having eaten at many Thai Express locations over the years, there’s only one that I’ll consistently go out of my way to visit:

Thai Express La Prairie.

Without question, it’s the best Thai Express on the South Shore - and it’s not even close. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and better prepared than at any other location I’ve tried.“

“Thai food that comes default spicy!!!! Lots of herbs just as I was hoping for. Our group of friends greatly enjoyed our meal from beginning to end! My husband enjoyed the draft beer. The dessert ---- shaved ice!!!! Soft and pillowy, with lots of fruit and flavours! It just melts in your mouth. The dessert can be shared by 4 people ... or 2 if you love dessert like me.“

“The wife took spicy told me not to take too spicy. I am glad I did not take any spicy because, yeow! That is hot! Only had a bite of my wife's food. She grew up in an ethnic family and can handle different flavors and spice levels She amazes me every day.

Great food but definitely if you are sensitive-tongued dont get ANY spice. I had to get a chocolate milk at the corner store to soothe my mouth.“

“Best experience I’ve had with a big group.

We had a perfect meal at Cup MTL celebrating our dear friend’s fast approaching marriage. Despite a group of 15, we were treated to excellent service by way of our wonderful server Rose - she was the best. The food, of course, was the highlight of our experience. We ordered a wide array of courses, all of which were met by the best of reviews from our group. For me personally, the pork belly Thai pad was some of the best I had. And some of our group who had been to Thailand claimed this was some of the best Thai food they had had. Thank you to the chef of the evening, Ying, for a special meal. We will be back, we will be sending our friends here, and we will be telling everyone we know about this place. Cannot recommend enough.“

Their food has the perfect balance and they’re always kind enough to make it saucy the way I like it. The two brothers at the cash are super nice and friendly too so generally just great all-around!“

“I have eaten at the restaurant it is clean and service is alright considering you order at the counter and take the food to a table.
The prices are expensive and if you want to add a combo easily for 2 people you are looking at $45+
There is too much rice more than the main meal while the portion size looks big it is because of the amount of rice.
I think prices could be a little more reasonable and cut down the rice.“

“We really enjoyed our meal at Madame Thai. We had the Boeuf Madame Thai and the beef dumplings. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the quality of the beef was very good. The portions were generous as well.

The dumplings were really tasty, especially with the sauce that came with them. In the summer, you can also sit on the terrace and enjoy the vibe of Vieux-Longueuil.

Overall, good food, good quality, and generous portions. We would definitely come back!“

Not the friendliest service ; I was barely acknowledged when walking in and waited awkwardly at the counter for around five minutes without anyone making their way to see me to take my order even though they clearly saw me. However, the food was good and the portion was quite generous. Will probably be back because it's tasty and is the decent restaurant that's within walking distance from home.“

“Wanted something quick to eat and even though other thai express locations have disappointed me in the past with rubbery overcooked chicken and stinginess with veggies... this place served me a pad thai up to perfection. Delicious tender and perfectly coated chicken, soft fresh rice and generous sauce and veggies amount. Quick too. Aaaand they accidentally gave me an extra pad thai bowl and didnt take money when I mentionned it. Good service, good food! Definitely coming back when around!“

“Thai Express is a franchise and I always expect the same quality no matter where I go in Canada.
That sadly is NOT the case.
This was driven home to me when I was fortunate enough to be in my old neighbourhood in Montreal today- at the Alexis Neon Plaza- in the food court (which can be quite enjoyable, most especially if you take your food out under the vast sun roof, where there is plenty of light and space and right now fun festive holiday lights)

The food at the Alexis Neon’s Thai Express puts all others in the dust.
Fresh, not over sauced with a variety of veges, not just green peppers and onions.
They take the time to inquire about dietary concerns(I’m a gluten sensitive) in addition to the friendly relaxed service.
It feels “homey” in a food court.
Imagine that.

It hasn’t changed in quality since we left that neighbourhood in 2018. And I mean it when I say, I go to that Franchise every where I work out of town and in Montreal expecting the same quality. I am however, always disappointed.
Today did not disappoint. Yummy!

“I had the pleasure of dining at thai express, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The chef hospitality was exceptional, and you could really tell that a lot of care and passion went into every dish.

The food was absolutely outstanding – each plate was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and truly a work of art. Every bite was a delight, and you could taste the high-quality ingredients and expertise in each dish.
