“I recently dined at Mike's Restaurant and was very impressed with the experience. The service was incredibly fast, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was pleasant with a moderate noise level, which is a welcome change from other noisy restaurants. However, the place was a bit small, which could be a problem if it was busy. Overall, a great dining experience.

“Quite simply the best poutine we've found in Montreal! Cheap, plentiful and quality. The consistency of the fries, the taste of the brown sauce, the temperature which is just starting to melt the cheese...I'm just waiting for the right opportunity to go back.“

“De la place is a underrated delicious restaurant. Unfortunately for them the service is mostly horrible. By that I mean either waiting an hour or longer to serve the main following the appetizers - or the children being served after the adults after requesting to have it at the same time. Or getting the mains 3 mins after receiving the apps or full blown no service at all. And I mean stacks of plates on the table because no one has checked in in over an hour.
Their food on the other hand is exceptional so because of the bad service I would recommend takeout. We travel 40 mins for the food because that's how good it is.“

“First time at this restaurant and my experience was fantastic. Their pupusas are delicious, their sauces are finger-licking, you can see that there is work put into their sauce because it is not the usual can of tomato juice on the table. The horchata is delicious you can't eat pupusas without horchata.The service was impeccable, the staff kind and attentive.Take a tour and you will love this place.Great food

“I realize this particular restaurant location was recently bought, so I hope they haven’t changed the fries which were fresh cut and cooked in a way that made them moist, a touch sweet yet still had just a touch of golden colour and crispness on the outside. They can literally be a meal in themselves - they are that good and substantial - which is exactly what happened on my last visit near supper time. I guess I’ll have to double check the ‘recipe’ with my taste buds next visit.“

“The waitress was very nice. I didn't remember her name but I do remember her saying that people nicknamed her Mrs. Mikes because she has worked there for over 20 years!

In the past, Mikes restaurants in general closed much later than they do now. It's a shame.“

“J'ai commandé pour emporter "Le Star" (sandwich au smoked meat) et un gâteau au fromage. Le smoked meat était correct; j'ai déjà mangé mieux ailleurs (plusieurs traces de gras au milieu de la viande même si j'ai demandé très "lean". Le gâteau était cependant délicieux! J'ai mangé que la moitié de tout ça car pour une personne c'est beaucoup trop! Ça fera un autre repas demain! Et la demoiselle à la réception a été très serviable et gentille, ceci avec un grand sourire! Merci beaucoup!“

“Wooow! It must have been almost forty years since I last walked into a Nickels, back when René Angélil and Céline Dion founded the banner! And, from what I remember, the menu has really changed, even if smoked meat is still in the spotlight. The decor... phew... if you like vintage, you will be amazed!“

“We loved our Superstar Subs and even had room left to share a Volcano desert... OMG for $11.99 it is such a HUGE chalice requiring anyone to share it ... As the picture shows, it comes with 2 spoons! It was so very chocolaty... Total decadency.“

“Après de nombreuses années sans y aller, moi et ma famille avons décidés d'y retourner , et nous avons bien appréciés notre repas. La pizza, tout comme les pâtes, sont très bonnes. Ça été un peu long avant de recevoir notre repas, mais la serveuse a été très sympathique, serviable et souriante. Nous y retournons lorsque nous désirons un bon repas en famille à prix raisonnable!“

“Visited Nickels when going for an appointment, didn't disappoint. Had missed going there since there's none left in out area. Had the smoke meat platter and I'd eas very good. Big portion and the waitress was very friendly and quick.“
