“We stumbled into Cochon Dingue on a lazy Sunday morning with a group of friends, and the sunny terrace overlooking the St. Lawrence River made it the perfect spot to linger over brunch. I ordered the eggs benedict and they were genuinely flawless, hollandaise rich and perfectly balanced without being heavy. The service was warm and attentive even though the place was packed, which honestly impressed us all. If you haven't made this a Sunday morning tradition yet, you're seriously missing out.“

“After a long road trip we needed a place to relax and a have a good meal. Past road trips and stops at other Normandin locations were 5/5. This location was busy with two large tables of 10+ people. We sat in the bar side as it seemed like the best option. Service was initially fast providing water and drinks. Our order was taken in good time. We did have to wait quite a while before our food was delivered. The salads were delicious and would recommend, the chicken was dry but possibly under the heat lamp due to the servers being overwhelmed with the larger tables. Overall would recommend over the fast food places nearby.“

“One word - wow. I went to this restaurant with my husband and two kids (9 & 4.5). The food was top notch. I had the duck linguini and a lovely drink. The duck was just as I remember eating in Paris France years ago - so tender and seasoned well. The kids and my husband also liked their meal. Service was excellent. Very respectful and attentive. Overall, if I could eat here ever night I would! I might just drive here for Ottawa every March, just for the duck !“

“We celebrated my birthday at Légende and it was everything I hoped for. The ambiance was exactly my style, cozy and unfussy, which made the whole evening feel comfortable and special. We chose the tasting menu with the non‑alcoholic pairing, and every dish was perfect. The quality, the flavors, the creativity and everything was completely and solely delicious. Truly worth it. The staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Justine, who surprised me with a small salty treat they made as a birthday gift. There are two beauties holding umbrellas in 17th-18th century costumes at the door. They provide a free photo service for everyone. It is very special. Experience!“

“Very good experience overall, and easily 5 stars once you are actually inside.

The setting is quite unique. The menu puts local Quebec products front and centre, everything we tried was very well prepared, and the value was surprisingly good considering the location and quality.

The only real issue was getting into the restaurant. We had to queue for about 45 minutes to go through the general Parliament security line, which was very slow and fairly clunky. I completely understand that security is necessary in a parliament building, but there is no dedicated line for restaurant guests and the only guidance we received was to arrive 15 minutes early. In our case, that was nowhere near enough.

It is a shame because the restaurant itself deserves full marks. A better arrival process, or at least much clearer instructions when booking, would make a significant difference.“

“My husband and I rode the cable car up to the manoir for a lunch. We both had pork back ribs (which is not bad) and a raspberry crumble for dessert (i thought it was so delicious!!). We had our table at the balcony, it has a scenic view. It is a very pleasant dining experience. We would definitely go back there again if we would have a chance.“
