I was in to have lunch as I filled up my gas nearby on the way through Quebec. The staff did speak good enough English, but there only so few of them working and the service as a result was somewhat sluggish. Once I placed my order though, it came in quite quickly and the food was great. I found the chicken and ribs to be a bit on the overcooked side. It was also a bit pricey for a gas stop restaurant.
For a long time now, I've always enjoyed Normandin restaurant. Their pizzas often feed our family reunions, and was good, crisp and delicious. Sadly today though, our meal did not give us the usual satisfaction; hamburger bun freshness, saggy pizza, and untasty salad. Whatever happened to their food today, I sincerely hope it was just a glitch, and that next time will bring back our usual quality.

Restaurant Normandin St-Jean-Chrysostome offers a welcoming atmosphere with a large parking lot and wheelchair accessibility. The service is generally friendly, especially on the bar side, where customers can enjoy 7/54 PC TV and 20 slot machines. Vegetarian options are available, and dietary restrictions can be accommodated with advance notice. The restaurant is kid-friendly and has a trail running option.
The restaurant is part of a popular chain that reminds customers of the old restaurant chains from the 80s and 90s, where they feel at home. The service is excellent, with servers who are caring, understanding, and do an excellent job, even for customers whose first language is English. The food is great, and the meals are satisfactory for the price. The restaurant is recommended for those in the neighborhood looking for great service and food.
