“Wow. Went for lunch here with my Boss. I always order a steamed hotdog from all the places I visit to see how the basics are. I can say that yes their hotdog is well worth the 2 dollars they sell for. The poutine I ordered was the du Chef. It was delicious. I can't wait for my next visit to try the other poutines. I recommend if you are near by or within 20 minutes away from here, it is well worth the trip. Be aware of their business hours though.“

“This old school joint has been a Montreal institution since 1912. After getting no sleep trying to make a 7 AM flight and siteseeing all day I was starving. The first thing I ate in Montreal was their delicious poutine. Maybe it was because I was tired and starving but that was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Perfectly cooked fries over savory brown gravy topped with squeaky cheese, it was heavenly. I wish I could say the same about the hot dogs. Everything else was good except the dog itself. They tasted like Oscar Meyer dogs frankly so I would avoid them. Service was quick and there's ample seating. This is a cash only establishment so hit up the ATM before you come.“

“Ce midi, je voulais offrir un cheat meal à ma fille pour Pâques et on aime bien La Pataterie de Varennes. Je commande quelques hot dogs pour nous et une poutine à partager ! Le service est rapide et courtois comme d’habitude! Je sors des lieux avec mon sac en papier brun et rendu dehors il se déchire et tout tombe au sol. Je me résigne à ramasser le tout mais sachant que je ne peux retourner à l’intérieur pour commander à nouveau car budgétairement je préférais m’abstenir de dépenser à nouveau. A ma grande surprise le gérant ou propriétaire a vu que je ramenais mes choses à la poubelle alors sans hésitation il a sorti dehors et m’a dit rentre je vais te refaire ton trio et ce gratuitement ! “It was pretty decent, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. I am looking for a thick, crispy fry, and something different with the gravy, not sure what exactly. Maybe a richer flavor and thicker texture?

I wouldn't be disappointed if I was served this poutine again, but I will continue to try other places instead.“

“Lafleur is the perfect spot to catch a quick filling traditional canteen style meal. The fries are made in front of your eyes and the food is usually pretty quick. The service isn't the main focus of the management, but the food speaks for itself. If you really want a local feel with characters of all sorts, stop in! I am a huge fan of their grilled hotdogs, and a classic poutine!“

“I use to go there 25y ago now back from Alberta found it still was there the road change around the restaurant but still the same, awesome fries and hot dog prices are reasonable I stop when ever im around and the poutine are very good 👍“
