Ahi Poke+Sushi Mont-Royal is recognized as one of the best places for poke bowls in Montreal, known for its fresh ingredients and generous portions. The restaurant offers a variety of options, including the popular 50% bowl, featuring both salmon and tuna, and choices for vegetarian and gluten-free diets. The ambiance is modern, clean, and inviting, with decor reminiscent of nature, making it a pleasant spot for lunch or dinner.
However, some reviews mention that the service can be inconsistent. While many customers appreciate the warm and welcoming staff, others have experienced loud behavior from employees and distractions from personal phone calls. Additionally, the cleanliness of the washroom has been noted as an issue.
Prices are on the higher side, with bowls typically costing over $20 CAD, but many agree that the portion sizes justify the cost. Some feedback indicates that certain dishes, like the Katsu chicken poke bowl, may not meet expectations regarding ingredient quality, especially when ordered later in the day. Overall, Ahi Poke is recommended for poke lovers, especially for those looking for healthy and delicious meal options, though customers are advised to visit during peak hours for the best experience. Parking can be challenging due to limited metered spaces on Avenue Mont-Royal.
