Clearly the best bakery in the entire neighborhood. I even wonder if it's not the best in town. The sourdough bread is authentic and very successful.It's the only bakery that tastes like the bread from my French childhood.
I join in the chorus of praise, really a variety of products all very interesting. However, I have one downside: for a bakery concerned with offering good quality bread, I find it a shame that the device for slicing bread is so inadequate, only one layer is very thin (1/2") not doing justice to the bread. Yesterday I bought spelled bread, once toasted I get a rusk and not a nice slice with a soft center. Too bad

Fantastic shop! We managed to get there early enough in the day to enjoy a great selection of breads and pastries. We also were able to taste some delicious cheeses as well. The cheese advice while shopping was great and their patience with us not speaking french was also a huge plus.We will be back for more on our next trip to Montreal!
