The bread is really not very good, the taste is bland, the crumb is not airy and the crust is brittle (not crispy). Same thing for pastries.
Unfortunately, the service (which also leaves something to be desired) does not match the quality of the products.

It's a nice and cozy place that has a lot of different bakeries to pick from ! A downsize in here is that if you're in a hurry, don't go there. The service was extremely slow and they only do 1 order at the time.. When I received my order, the mug/cup I've gotten is dirty and been chipped 😓
Aside of that, my food was very good !! I really like the chocolatine avalanche fondant (I think that was the name of it) !! 💖
Will come back again to try their others bakeries and bread they have to offer, they looked really delicious 🤤

Really tasty food - the hot chocolate was one of the best I've had, the iced chai was perfect, and the bacon grilled cheese was delicious (their bread is divine).
We stopped here for lunch and it was the perfect spot to people-watch & enjoy the autumn vibes of Jean Talon market! There's indoor and outdoor seating, the staff is super kind, and there's a decent amount of options for both viennoiseries & sandwiches.

I'm a Japanese person who doesn't understand French at all, but I would like to thank the staff for cheerfully responding to me!

product not worthy of a bakery, let alone being at the Jean Talon market.
Deplorable service, the girls are always in a bad mood and the bread is raw.
Wow, to be honest, I went in because the coffee place I was planning on going to was closed, and I didn’t expect much from a franchise. Boy was I wrong. The espresso was made to perfection, and the croissants (note that I’m a very picky croissant eater) were extraordinary. Probably the best I’ve ever had in Montreal. It definitely helped that they were fresh out of the oven. Wow. I’m still raving about them a week later.

The staff member that served me was really wonderful, but I think I got an old croissant… it was flappy, cold, and just mediocre. I’m certain it wasn’t fresh. The Portuguese tart was also cold. Perhaps this was a one off…

I went today, I don't know if the employees are generally all sad or if they have bad working conditions but the girl who served me twice didn't smile at all and seemed like want to be somewhere else. I understand that you can sometimes have bad days, but you still have to make a little effort. I work in the public sector myself and even if things aren't going well one morning, after a few contacts with clients I change my mind and I become less of a marabout and in the end no one realizes that I'm having a bad day. They seem either poorly organized, or understaffed, or both.
Also, I asked for an iced coffee, she didn't even ask me if I wanted milk or sugar and she didn't give me a lid to put on the glass.
The friend I was with is a regular here and she says it's the worst branch of Pain Doré. She returns there because a pastry offered there is her favorite. Personally, I won't go back there, I'll go to the cafe next door next time.

We were visiting the Jean Talon Market and having breakfast at the Boulangerie Au Pain Doré. We ordered tart , croissant and coffee. All pastries were freshly made and very tasty.

Very cold croissant. First time and last time here. First Harvest at the Jean-Talon Market 100% better. No point trying a croissant here and the cashier was not helpful. She told me it’s cold because they don’t make it every hour. A croissant ? is meant to be eaten hot!
