Impeccable bar, from the cocktails to the service. The staff are very attentive and it’s damn right impressive. This will and should be on the 50 best bars list.

Creative, delicious, high-energy cocktail bar in the heart of the Old Port. The bartenders float easily between French and English, making it a great place for American tourists to visit if you so choose. Cocktails are very innovative and well-balanced, and the food we had that night, the product of a pop-up, was actually one of the best things we had during our time in Montreal. It is a small space but the layout makes it easy to navigate, and actually feels very cozy. The power to the area went out the night we were there and we actually continued to have a great time with the bartenders to the glow of our iPhone lights. Takes a special place and a special crew to do that. Can’t wait to return.

Fantastic cocktail bar specializing in low(er) abv drinks. Really delicious, awesome vibe, and great merch. Who knew sherry-based drinks could be so delicious??? Do not miss - a great antidote to all the touristy stuff nearby.

Calli was an amazing sherry educator and made us feel so welcome. Great drinks, tasty bites, the right amount of noise. Perfection.

Tucked in little bar with sexy vibes and beautifully crafted low abv drinks. Menu did a fantastic job of describing the flavor profiles for you to pick your own poison. I had a gin cocktail (verdant view) that was outstanding; hubby kept describing his mezcal cocktail as meaty. There was a small menu of food but we didn’t have any. This is definitely a place to sit back have a few drinks and chill.

Great find for us, directly opposite our hotel. The staff were magnificently friendly and engaging. My wife and I were visiting Montreal from Scotland and were made to feel like regulars. If and when we venture transatlantic again to this wonderful city, we will certainly be seeking out Bisou Bisou.

⭐ 5/5 – Hidden gem with top-tier cocktails
Such a lovely speakeasy! We were lucky to sit right in front of the bartender and got a full view of her craft — absolutely amazing to watch. Every drink she made was not only beautifully presented but also perfectly balanced and delicious. A must-visit if you appreciate great cocktails and skilled bartending.

Don’t let any list tell you any different, best cocktails in Montreal!!! We came for just a few drinks and were blown away by every one. Yusuf (hope we spelled it right) served us and took fantastic care of us. The level of craftsmanship and hospitality here was extremely impressive. Will be back.

Absolutely delicious cocktails, very friendly service, reasonable prices and the music was at a perfect volume where you can still carry on a conversation.

Yousef was amazing!
The cocktails were delicious, ambiance was great and the music was on point. It was not loud and you can talk to your companions.
I would come back and bring out of towners to discover this gem and feel like a local.

Food is basic. As for the cocktails, they seem pretty exciting on the menu with nice and interesting ingredients in the description. But when it comes to the taste they are quite average.

Located in Old Montreal’s lively nightlife district, Bisou Bisou is a spacious basement bar with a wide mix of seating options — from bar stools to larger group tables. The vibe is casual but stylish, with playful art featuring alcohol-inspired themes that seem to echo late ’80s or early ’90s aesthetics. Design details like exposed brick and tiled walls add warmth. Music volume is well-balanced, making it a comfortable place to talk.

Drinks: 8/10
Recommendation: Le Petit Éléphant
The menu leans into lighter spirits and lower ABV cocktails — it’s a clear concept that’s even mentioned up front. Each drink comes with detailed notes on flavor, ingredients, glassware, and alcohol percentage, which makes it fun and easy to navigate. Flavors are relatively balanced. Above-average glassware, nice coasters, and good presentation round it out.

Service: 7.5/10
Water was served on arrival. The team is friendly and attentive, but the bar feels lightly understaffed for its size — expect some delays on orders, especially when it’s busy. Prices are average for Montreal and feel fair for what’s offered.

This is an INCREDIBLE bar! We came in here just to check it out because it was across the street from our hotel and were blown away by our drinks. We ended up coming every night we were in town. Every cocktail (and mocktail) was incredible and better than any other we had in Montreal. I highly recommend making a stop here if you’re nearby or far away. It’s worth the trip!
