I went to watch one of my friends perform here, I paid ten dollars to get in only to find out that they overbooked. My friends didn't even get a chance to perform which was very disappointing. This place has no respect for the musicians from the other reviews I've seen, and this seems to be a running theme as this has allegedly happened twice to my friends. It was also last minute that they found out, so they unpacked thier stuff only to repack it due to having to leave. I'm quite disappointed.

To avoid for musicians / bands...
As a musician, my experience in this room was frankly disappointing. The lack of communication and chaotic organization make it an unwelcoming place for artists. The load-in was supposed to be at 5 p.m., but we found ourselves in front of a closed door, without any information. Someone finally arrived after about fifteen minutes – already, things aren’t off to a great start.
Their model is to separate the evening into two distinct events. We were part of the first event with 4 bands, but it appears they only had three – and no support or compromise was offered to remedy the situation.
Among the 4 groups, 2 of them traveled from Ontario especially for this evening, and some of us had to condense our set to only two songs.
The only star I give is for the sound technician, who also seemed very confused about the situation.
N.B: After discussing with other musicians, we realize that this is not the first time that this type of incident has happened. very disappointing.

As a friend of several artists, I can undoubtedly say that the organization of events is very chaotic. The artists’ time slot is not always respected. Last time, four months ago, the lineup said that my friend DJ should play at 11. Finally he started at 00.45, he played very little and all his spectators had already left. It was very unpleasant.

I'm not one to post negative comments but this was too striking not to mention.
I came to celebrate my birthday with 12 friends, but the welcome was extremely unpleasant. Although the bar was empty when we arrived, the staff repeatedly attempted to charge us for the same bills multiple times. The waitress was casual and unprofessional, giving the impression that she did not want to entertain customers, without mentioning some of these comments when ordering at the bar.
It's a real shame because I used to like this place for its weekday concerts, but after this experience this Saturday evening, I don't plan to go back.

Ah, La Marche à Côté, where dreams of rare bib steak come true! ? I had the pleasure of tasting a flank steak so rare that it could still have bellowed. Accompanied by a beer that thankfully wasn't as lively, and nachos that did their best not to be overshadowed by the meat. ??
World music? Absolutely! There's nothing like an eclectic mix of sounds to transport you to an atmosphere where you no longer know if you're in Montreal or on a tropical beach. ??
In short, a place where the food is as lively as the atmosphere, and where every bite is an adventure. 4 well-deserved stars for this unforgettable experience! ?
