Got horrible food poisoning from here, ordered an Italian sausage sandwich after landing in Montreal and spent the whole night and next two days paying for it. Also the sandwich was truly awful, not even close to authentic.

I had only a bagel that day prior to eating their sandwich, and within a couple hours was horribly sick, so it was from here. The sausage was as if it wasn't cooked but I assumed it was safe and I was obviously hungry and didn't eat it till back at the hotel

Delicious food and lovely space! A bit pricey but was worth it!

Wow. Your reply perfectly proves my point — arrogance and condescension on full display.

Instead of addressing a customer’s feedback with professionalism, you chose mockery and personal attacks. That alone says everything about your attitude and your understanding of hospitality.

For the record:
• Nobody informed me of any “lunch-only” policy before I sat down. The place was completely empty.
• I had only my laptop — no “papers and all.”
• My girlfriend didn’t order because she was leaving for work within minutes.
• I had already purchased two canolis with my coffee.

You walked over in a rude and impulsive manner, snapping your fingers and talking down to me as if I were a problem instead of a paying guest. That moment alone said more about your café than any review ever could.

A good owner handles situations with tact and respect — even when enforcing a policy. You chose arrogance and humiliation.

Congratulations: you didn’t just lose a customer. You earned a reputation.

Literally the best sandwich spot!!! I love their chicken sandwich. It is perfect.

Very disappointing second visit to this place.
We were there about a month ago and it was excellent!
We all ordered sandwiches and the older lady who works there, possibly one of the owners, was kind enough to make our five year old granddaughter, a tomato sandwich.
Yesterday we went back and the young girl working there refused to make the same tomato sandwich for the little one.
She said that the sandwiches were all premade.
I told her that I was aware but that last time they were able to accommodate our request. She said that she was to busy and she would only do it if we came back after the rush.
So we left and went to another sandwich place that was more than willing to satisfy the needs of a five year old.
Someone needs to give that young lady some customer service training.
It’s a shame but despite the excellent food, we will not be back.

Nice Italian deli near Old City/waterfront/museum. Nonna is in the back and will direct you to seating and tell you that you don't have to bus your dishes. 😉 Enjoyed my muffeleta panini.
