A great discovery, this place for an impromptu lunch...Despite a short wait to be seated, we had a pleasant and enriching time because we did not know the Iranian culture inspired by this place. We ate some lovely preparations with a special mention for this baked omelette. One of our salads had no seasoning but overall it was very good.

Total change of scenery!Starting with reading the menu which makes us wonder, but what am I going to choose? The flavors transport us to this Eastern country like on a flying carpet!

The evening started out with a bang. The service was attentive and food came to the table quickly. Then It all took a turn for the worse. Still hungry we ordered additional menu items. After a long wait it became evident that they forgot to put in the order. Then when reminded, they brought the food, but didn't bring replacement place settings.Parking: There are precious few spots available for non-permit parking. If you plan on driving, leave yourself with lots of time to circle around to try and find a spot. Or, do what we had to do and park close to a kilometer away and take an Uber.

With all fairness, it is anything but Persian for those who know about quality Persian food. The portions are small, tasteless, and overpriced for what they are offering. I suggest they stick to coffee and pastry if any. I was not impressed, and would not recommend it to my dear ones !

The food was amazing. The waiter who served us was super rude and his attitude was very bad.

Small, friendly Iranian café where home cooking is pleasant for those who like discovery. The only inconvenience is the payment terminal which does not offer the tipping option, other in $, only options in %, which means that we pay tips on taxes!!

There is no need to introduce the Byblos, a true institution, I started going there in 2002, I am surprised myself not to have had a review since then, it is the time to repair this oversight and for a rare time, I went there in the evening and that's when I discovered Dizzy (only on Sunday evenings)! Dizzy, it's easy as the gentleman who served us and showed us how to enjoy it as it should be would say. This is a dish composed of lamb, dried vegetables, potatoes and tomatoes, accompanied by cob. That was delicious ! And the desserts, the names of which I forgot, were simply very fresh and a great end to a meal.

Food we picked was very bland and lukewarm. Prices : unfairly high for the small portions..It’s so sad to see a fish living in such a dirty environment...?Service wasn’t bad and the ambiance & deco is nice!

Honestly the worst service and hospitality I have experienced in Montreal. The decor and location is nice though.

It was my first experience at this café and from the outset, the welcome was stupid. It took a good 20 minutes to receive a mint tea and a sweet bread. When I asked a question about a product I was told dry. ...But it was fine,... I always give an establishment a chance. Anyone can have a bad day...until you receive the food. I received salty plates. For me this is intolerable! My "clean" glass had pieces of tea leaf in it without a single drop being spilled and the glass was "foggy" as if it had not been cleaned but just run under water, and the teapot had some marc on it, quite present on the edges but enough to make it look like a crust, I ultimately didn't touch anything, ... finally... I don't understand what it was doing there but when I pulled out my chair to leave; there was also a toothbrush under it. And no, I don't walk around with a toothbrush on me so it wasn't mine...having had MAPAQ training, I won't set foot in this establishment again. I hope that by then you will be able to restore order to the cleanliness of the dishes and the welcome received for new customers who do not know you.

I've been going there for several years and honestly I'm disappointed for several reasons:1) Table water from the tap is disgusting. It tastes like heavy leaded and rusty water. Use a filter please! I've been caught twice now.2) The aquarium should simply be removed since it is messy.. Also the big goldfish requires more space.. RIP goldfish.3) The service is passable, but I told the waiter twice to bring me sparkling water (given the bad table water) and it took him a good 10 minutes without exaggeration. But hey, I'm patient in life and I understand that he was the only waiter. At least he was courteous.4) Food: this is the most important point for a restaurant!!! Today, dish of the day chicken drumstick (undercooked), rice (exaggerated portion and with a taste of butter too pronounced) and a hollandaise sauce which completely separated in two.. The cost of this dish: generously 5 $ for the ingredients and yes, the rent, the employees etc.. Big maximum $10.. I paid $27 for the dish!!!?? For something I would rate 1/5.. Little seasoning, no heat, poorly portioned..5) The young Barista at the counter spends her time on her cell phone.. It has no place in a workplace unless it is truly required.. It's a real scourge.Really I'm sad Byblos.. ?Unfortunately I love the atmosphere of this place and it's convenient for chatting.. But, I have to admit defeat, disappointed.. I won't go back there again.. Especially not for $60 for two meals of such poor quality...Goodbye delicious bread with honey and rose water.Good continuity and I dare to hope to see you evolve in this competitive world of catering.
