Cute place! Walked and had a very friendly greeting, short brown haired barista was serving a client a beautiful coffee and big smile. I got the salted caramel cookie and it was amazing, properly addictive! I'll definetly be back to try some of their other pastries :)

Kathleen, Noah and Alexia are exceptional staff. We come to Névé every day for a coffee and have done for years. We receive such warm, personal service every time. Today Kathleen had already started our coffees by the time we got to the counter. She also is always helpful in choosing a good coffee bean to take home. We receive so many small kindnesses from the staff that you just can’t find elsewhere. Come here for the great coffee but come back for the exceptional people.

I have been going to Café Névé Mont-Royal pretty much daily for over two months now. The baristas are all incredibly kind, forthcoming, attentive and genuinely invested in making this place warm and welcoming. There is a reason why I go to this place first thing every morning (weekend included) to get coffee : my days start so well and I always leave with a smile. And with a delicious extra large cup of very special filter coffee. They rotate the types they use for those, so every couple of days you get to try different blends that are so fragrant, it's an experience that never disappoints! Shoutout to Noah, Cathleen and Alexia (I hope I am writing your names right).
The most recent comment after mine cannot be further from my own experience (and from what I witness from other customer's interactions with the staff). It feels so at odds with how the barista in question is that I can't help thinking that the person commenting is either grossly exaggerating or outright lying about what happened. Perhaps a projection of some sort?

What a horrific experience with one barista here. The taller girl with light brown-blonde hair and septum piercing really ruined my day - twice. This is unfortunate as I loved the service multiple times from the other smaller dark haired barista. I have decided to not go to the Mont Royal Ave location anymore after making it my fave closest cafe to my house, an am very dissapointed about this as I loved the coffee from here but the barista from last week (Nov 7th and 8th) really stopped me from returning. I came in on Nov 7th looking to buy a bag of coffee beans as it’s my usual go to place as the other nice barista always helps me find what’s best. I showed this current barista my preferences of flavours and previous bags I’ve bought before, and she gave negative reviews about the one I was thinking of getting and suggested I buy this bag of beans called “Berry Custart Tart from Colourfull” for 28$ for 250grams. I took her suggestion and tried it that day at home and it wasn’t what I was looking for, in fact quite the opposite of the flavour I mentioned I liked and the previous bags I’ve tried and showed her. I came back the next day and mentioned to her it wasn’t what I was looking for and specifically said it’s okay and if she could recommend me another bag and she acted horrible towards me, sighing, acting like I was asking too much for a recommendation, saying the previous bag I had is a one of a kind and there’s nothing else like it (Traffico Sublime) and then proceeded to just be hostile and stare at me while I was deciding even though it was dead inside with no lineup. She made me feel so uncomfortable and unsafe just by wanting to buy another 25$+ bag of coffee beans and needed some help - like it wasn’t her job or she didn’t have time. I said thanks and left and she gave a sarcastic toned thanks and was happy to see me leave. Later I found out the bag I bought the first day is actually a half calf bag (half caffeine content) which really made me upset, as I never asked for this. I’ll never return here again, it’s too bad some baristas are like this, and then others are so warm and welcome like the other barista that works there. What a contrast. Dissapointed.

Great service and great coffee, without being too expensive
I went there twice as I was working nearby, both times the service was great and very friendly. First time got a Limo, first time I've seen that in a café, super tasty and refreshing with cool garnishes. The second time I got an Americano... it was easily one of the best I've had in Montréal. Not too over diluted, dialed in perfectly!
