I had a great experience at this place! Went for a group dinning and everything was absolutely amazing! The food quality was excellent and very authentic. Cute and cozy ambiance beautifully decorated just to make you feel like you’re home… food presentation was also great!! Oh! and THEY HAVE LIVE MUSIC!! (Not sure about the schedule tho but you can definitely verify with them).I’ve tried almost all the Persian restaurants in Montreal also the non-persian ones which serve Iranian food, and Cafe Toraj is by far my absolute favourite! I will definitely be back.I just have a quick comment on people complaining about the parking spot: my friend not sure if you know or not, BUT it is not the restaurant responsibility to have available parking spot for you. Especially in central areas and it’s just not fair to count that as one of your reasons not to be satisfied and happy with the restaurant… It’s like that for whoever decides to go downtown, plateau,etc… going around and around and looking for a parking spot…. Maybe check where you going before making a decision next time.It’s really not an easy job to run any business specially in this industry; so I thank the team at Cafe Toraj for their hard work and for making the night an absolute beautiful memory for us! Thank you guys and keep up the good work! ?

Well I grew up with ghazaa Irani- I'm 100% Persian but wasn't born in Iran. Anyway, based on all the Persian restaurants and relatives' cooking that I've had the priviledge to taste, this place is one of the BEST. The rice is fluffy and tasty, the fesenjoon was nice and torsh (tart) with grogeous decorations of actual pomegranite arils and slivers of pistachio and almond and walnuts, and their kabob....I thought I could die right then and there and be happy because I tried that kabob in my life hahaha. Really, it blew my mind. Everything was so delicious, like the way my aunts cook, and gorgeous decor and the service was great too- our waiter had the patience to speak Farsi with me when mine was mixed with English- he knew English too and easily switched languages when I needed. My boyfriend really enjoyed the food as well? His eyes popped when he tasted the muste khiyar (cucumber yogurt side dish), and I decided the one drink that tops my favorite doogh, is now the Saffron Shake (nooshaabeh albar mashti!), which Café Toranj just about sent me to heaven with. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!!! We will be back with our family and friends- we sent pictures of the food and my mom is really excited to come try this. By the way, the music was authentic and relaxing too. And it might be hard to tell it's Iranian from the outside, until you step inside! And there's a nearby parking lot? This place deserves infinity stars ??⭐️

Went for an Arman’s standup comedy show which was hilarious and amazing!Ordered Ghambar polo and Albaloo polo, the food was very flavourful and yummy. If you have a craving for Persian food, it’s worth to try the food here.One constructing point is the food portion used to be bigger.

The WORST EXPERIENCE!! The waiter (Arian) was so unprofessional! He didn’t say anything when he gave the food menu and after coming for getting orders, we realized they didn’t have any kind of Kabab as they don’t have any meat to cook!! Even when he realized we came for Kabab, he was shameless to say that for the next time you should call us in advance to check the available foods!! Who would say that in a restaurant to a costumer?! Never ever I would come back to this damn restaurant!
