If you enjoy a great roti, this is NOT the place to go. They offer no bone-in options: all the meat offerings are boneless. Plus, the only items in the roti are meat and potatoes … no veggies. They said the could add chana, but forgot to do that. They have no Kuchila (pickled mango). They gave me the wrong beverage, and then gave me a warm ginger beer out of the fridge. Lastly, there were flies bugging us throughout the meal. I went to the restroom when finished dining where the were at least six flies on the wall.

I had so many memories from this restaurant since I was young. The patties and the roties…🤩🤩Even when they changed the owner few years ago, the flavor and quality were still there.

But now!? A huge disappointment since the rechanged the owner recently. No flavors at all. The roti is barely stuffed compared to before. And the patties? That smooth flaky crust and the kick of spice in the meat are not there anymore. Just look at the pictures yourself from years ago vs now.

Never going back sadly, I’d rather not ruin the good memories I have.

Edit: Got to change my review, before was a 5 stars now it’s sadly a basic spot… They changed the patty now they are big not spicy with ugly crust… the rotie are without flavors and the custumer service can’t be worse. Please come back the old ways!
A customer that loved the spot

The food here was actually good, but the service really took away from the experience. The staff member at the counter appeared unprofessional—he looked very untidy and didn’t use a tray when serving our food. I could clearly see his nails as he handed us the plates, which was off-putting. On top of that, we had to get our own spoons. Overall, while the food was enjoyable, the customer service needs serious improvement.

The new owner’s made the food prices higher the plates are disgusting plus the roti’s are dry no taste no gravy
Never going back

Ever since the new management has taken over, I feel the taste is not authentic any more. I used to love the patties and now it doesn’t even have the Caribbean flavor at all. I won’t be going there anymore. Also, they used to give complimentary hot sauce with your order and now they want you to pay. So much for good customer service.

I got jerk chicken big mistake, In fact I felt embarrassed this place jerk chicken should be name dutty jerk .

Highly recommend the goat roti. It was simply delicious.

First time coming back in. Awhile and the over all quality isn’t as it used to be. The server was rude and the food isn’t as tasty. I asked to get correcting on my
Order and was approached with attitude. Maybe there’s new management? Never the less disappointed since ive been coming here since childhood.

So disappointed. Got takeout with my BF today and my jerk chicken was obviously from the day before. Listen to the video with the sound on of me tapping my dehydrated meat. I got a small amount of dry rice & peas with 3 little pieces of the driest chicken ever. Didnt even taste like jerk, more like soy sauce. Served along side a half scoop of coleslaw. Cabbage & rice is so cheap, at least fill up the container. Cost 18$. Could have got double that down the street.

The black girl at the cashier misbehaved a lot. I asked a question and kindly requested her to give me the hot Roti because it’s take away. She raised her voice multiple times, I told her lower her tone. But she wouldn’t give me fresh ones. She said cause it’s steaming and she won’t put her hand there. She showed me there were more than 50s roti kept opening and waiting to cold but she would put that in the hot case. So, she will give any fresh roti. I told her lower her voice and walked away, with no lunch from there. She said I don’t care you don’t buy anything and refuse to wear a glove to serve me.

Constantly changing owners and the quality of food is crap . Never again

I don't know what happened, if the owner is on vacation but last night, I ordered a jerk, an oxtail and a roti. The Roti was good but the 2 plates, not so much. The rice was overcooked and made with what appeared to be lentils. Not a Rice and Peas. No bananas (sweet plantain) and the salad looked like pikliz (spicy coleslaw) not a green salad that I was expecting. I've been going to this restaurant for these specific dishes for at least 15 years and nothing tasted as usual. This is an institution for Trini food. Very dissapointed. Not sure I'll be back after this experience. 👎
