Absolute travesty of justice that they discontinued the cheese croissants. Still the best moka (and likely, all there are other drinks, too) in Montréal, though.
I got a desert from this place... it is called Mont Framboise and it was quite expensive... 49$+ ... add to it the tip....
Well... It was well done ... except it tasted mostly cardamom... I am absolutely sure it tasted above all cardamom..
Now I am not saying cardamom is no good... I love it and I used it ...except that the amount it tasted in that desert was either
a batch done wrong
or an experience in the road to ....
or a wired tased ot their chef pâtissier
I googled the Japaneses cooking and desert and cardamom never came up as a common ingredient ... so why I payed 52$ for some fancy chocolate mousse with hints of raspberry and loads of cardamom ?
I have my answer to keep to myself...
Great selection of warm drinks. I had the chance to try their hojicha latte with soy milk. They have many vegetarian friendly desserts from macha-almond croissants to yuzu flavored chocolates, Unfortunately apart from drinks and a small selection of sorbets, there weren't any plant-based pastries or cakes. Nonetheless, it's a pretty unique fusion (Japanese-French) to see for a bakery.
Stumbled upon this place while looking for a coffee shop. Next door had a weird getting but here was super friendly and helpful. The lady let me try some of their ice creams and the black sesame was so good. The matcha and hojicha you can tell have really tea powder in them. I ordered a chai which they make fresh and is in the another, slight spice side. I also ordered a shot of decaf. I thought they had wifi but they do not so I couldn't work here. They also sell chocolate and pastries which looked and smelled really good.
One of our favourite patisseries with a japanese twist! Love their anpans, they remind us of Japan 🥹. We have been a fan for years, and we absolutely love their christmas log as well, please bring back the matcha lithchi flavour!

Took time out of my day to go down and grab a few slices of cheesecake. They had 2 full cheesecakes sitting in the display but wouldn’t serve me anything. I get if they were reserves or someone had ordered them but otherwise why not sell what is literally in the display?
