Great little place to pick up food for $5 tax included. Don’t expect to have a lot of meat in your food, but for the price it’s 100% worth it, and a godsend if you’re on a budget.I always bring my own Tupperware and leave it with the chef, then return 10 minutes later to get my food nicely packed in my dishes.Don’t expect the chef/owner to speak English or French, just order what you want clearly, and enjoy!
A straight gem! Not the place to come if you expect fine cuisine. This is warm cheap comfort food (that is surprisingly tasty) with a hilarious chef that barely speaks French or English. Love the papers on the wall. Hope this place never closes ??
This is the textbook definition of what the French call a "bouiboui", a hole in the wall restaurant that isn't classy or particularly clean, but makes up in taste and value. All dishes are 5 bucks taxes in. It's an old school setup (there seems to have been a resto/dép here for at least 50 years), the kitchen looks more like a meth lab. It's a one man operation, the chef/owner doesn't speak English or French at all, but he was friendly and sympathetic....
