I took my 90 year old dad with a wheelchair for an early dinner, hostess was very accommodating for a window seat so we could put the wheelchair against it. Nobody was in the restaurant maybe two tables and the waitress at first was very rude and said can you move to a different table in the middle of the restaurant and I said absolutely not there’s nobody here and my dad is blind and in a wheelchair. After that, she was very accommodating and very nice and I tipped her well. Food was delicious! I have been going there since I was a little girl. I always go when I come visit once a year.

For the price you pay for the meal you'd expect much better service. Not that our waitress was slow it just that she had too many tables to take care of They need to hire more staff. I was disappointed in the overall experience, coming from Texas, I was told it was a finest steakhouse in Old Montreal but I didn't think so.

Celebrated our 55th Anniversary 5 days ahead of schedule (Aug 29th) at the historically acclaimed and famed Gibby’s Steakhouse & Seafood in Old City Montreal with TB. The food and service was ABSOLUTELY superb! They surprised us with a delicious cake, and we had NO idea how they knew what we were celebrating! What a lovely evening with TB, my “bestest” buddy and roadie. TinaB & Rick Betz Forever! ❤️

Good upscale dining experience. The portion sizes were good. The cook on the steak was perfect for everyone who ordered a steak, same for the rack of lamb. Lobster tails were good.
I think my only complaint was it's the same side dishes for every main. (Salad, sorbet palette cleanser, baked potato + asparagus with your main. It's better when dining at a place this expensive when it's tailored to the specific dish you ordered instead of having it the same for everyone.

Pricey, but seems to be worth it. It is usually $100+ but if you take the lunch 3 course menu you can come out under $100 even if you add a glass of wine and including taxes and tip.
Was solo at around 2 PM on Saturday. Tried oysters entree and then pepper steak from the lunch menu, no complaints whatsoever, was great.
