We always come here, and today this girl was serving with a bad attitude. We ordered the dinner item as usual, but this new girl said if we want something, we should tell her instead because it’s a waste of paper. However, when we came in last week, the other girl served us fine and told us to use the dinner paper to order multiple times, and she was kind to us. Please ensure your employees are not rude to customers. If they have to say something, it would be better for the reputation to say it in a nicer way.

We were going during lunch time but ordered the dinner menu. Usually they dont have the dinner menu out, so we were HANDED a piece of paper and TOLD to mark whatever we want from the menu. So we did. On the second time we ordered, we ordered bamboo plates bcuz that was the only thing we wanted at that time. A girl employee, took it and came back at us for wasting paper ordering just one item from there, saying ‘ If you guys are only ordering bamboo, you can tell us. Because this is a waste of paper’.
This is very disappointing to see bcuz a week prior we also ate from the same menu but a different girl was serving us and she was fine even if we order just one item as well. So I dont get why that one employee was so rude to us when we weren’t aware that we could just tell them what we want. We were basically just doing what we were told to from the beginning. She could simply told us to tell them directly if we wanted to order something and leave the part ‘this is a waste of paper’ and attitude out.
We are a frequent customers whose been coming here multiple times, so please manage your employees better.

First hotpot experience but we really enjoyed our meal. Buffet had lots of options and everything we tried was tasty. We just went with the clear broth since we weren’t sure what to expect and it was really good. Staff was friendly, everything was clean and they kept replacing items when they ran out.

So yummy! I’ve been for the lunch special a couple of times now and it’s so good. Staff is very attentive to allergies and provide quick service. I really wish they’d have beansprouts but I’m unsure if they provide that for the dinner service as I’ve only been for lunch.

A spacious and clean hot pot restaurant located on the second floor right at the main intersection of Chinatown in Montreal. It’s easy to find, with large windows that make the space feel bright and airy. The atmosphere is calm and not too noisy.
The menu is not as diverse as the Toronto location, but the essentials are all there. The buffet offers a good range of basic options, and there is a wide selection of ingredients for hot pot. Some of the labels were slightly mixed up, which made it a bit confusing. Overall, the food looked clean and fresh, and the buffet area was refilled quickly and consistently.
I ordered the two-flavor broth: tomato and hot sour. The broth was slightly off in seasoning, not bad, but not very flavorful either. It could have been more balanced and bold.
There were about two to three staff members working. They were friendly and service was quick.
The price was around $40 per person (I don’t remember the exact amount). It’s suitable for family gatherings, dates, or casual meals with friends. Overall, it’s a decent experience, but I wouldn’t set very high expectations.

When I paid, I realized that they hide the tip option “no tip” by putting a sticker. And the staff pressed 15% tip for my bill, saying this is their policy and I must pay the tip. Forcing customers to tip is illegal in Quebec.

Restaurantji Recommends
My wife was literally forced to pay 15% for a service she wasn’t satisfied with. According to staff “it is restaurant policy when it’s a group bigger than 6”. The employee went ahead and hit the 15% tip box in the machine. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

I’m not sure happened when I went but the tomato broth was extremely bland. I also went a year ago and had an amazing experience but this time I wasn’t satisfied. I’m really disappointed that the broth was bland because it is a main component when eating hotpot. It also took a while before a waiter came to take our order but it was kind of busy so I somewhat understand. I’m just really disappointed that it wasn’t as exceptional as the first time I went. Overall, I do recommend this place as it is affordable and offers a wide selection of fresh toppings.
