Very tasty broth! I love the buffet concept, there are lots of food choices for fondue as well as unlimited soft drinks. The price and taste are worth it!

Fast and responsive staff, enjoyed the service:
asked for window seats then got seated beside the wall.
Stealing empty plates from the table.
Cried for the whole FIVE minutes with the absence of most delicious chicken of life, gotta to get reheated faster next time.
Didn’t know where to take the broth, staff was so helpful bring it in directly from the kitchen

One toilet is out of order

Not wheelchair accessible, 26 stairs to get into the restaurant
It’s authentic buffet restaurant, nobody stops you when eating too much
loads of table covers, can talk to a lot of people while eating
Best condensed milk ever, drank half of the bottle
Ventilation system very efficient, hotpot helps the coldness

I went there with my best friend and we found that everything tasted nothing, we took the ying/yang broth on the spicy side and the other mushroom it had no taste it just smelled very strongly of curry, meat AAA not edible!! We tasted lots of ingredients and didn't like anything, we were shocked and very disappointed because according to the reviews we had high expectations. This is the first time I've left a negative review for a restaurant because I'm really someone who isn't picky about food but this was terrible... I'm leaving 2 stars because the service was very good.

There was only one waiter outside at noon. After waiting for a long time, he saw me waiting at the counter to be seated. The table he was brought to was not wiped clean. After that, he still waited... There was no sense of respect, especially in Canada where payment is so important. Tipping country.

I had a delightful lunch at this charming little gem in Chinatown! Despite only one staff member managing the front—greeting guests, seating them, and taking orders—resulting in a slight wait for our pot, the experience was truly worthwhile.

The fresh produce, flavorful meats, and vibrant spices were beyond my expectations. The cozy ambiance enhanced the enjoyment of the meal. I can’t wait to return for more!

An Underwhelming Experience at Happy Lamb Hotpot

I had high hopes for this Happy Lamb Hotpot location, but unfortunately, it fell short compared to others I’ve visited. The restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign, but it was clear they were understaffed. The servers were trying their best, but the shortage meant it took a long time for someone to check on our table or address requests, which made the experience frustrating.

As for the food, it didn’t live up to the standards we’ve come to expect from Happy Lamb. Having visited a few other locations, this one was the least impressive. The flavors were not as bold or fresh, and the overall quality of the ingredients just wasn’t there.

While we understand that busy nights can be challenging, the combination of slow service and underwhelming food made this visit disappointing. Hopefully, this location can improve both its staffing levels and food quality to match the reputation of other Happy Lamb Hotpot restaurants.
