Jatoba Reviews

Jatoba in Montreal is a favorite among many, with a talented chef who creates dishes that are 100% good. The ambiance is fancy, and the service is attentive, with the drinks being top-notch. The restaurant is known for its high-quality sashimi, which is always presented by the chef personally. The menu offers delicious, creative dishes with good-sized portions, including highlights such as King salmon nigiri, black cod, and king oyster mushroom dishes, along with the memorable Aloha Jatoba. The menu also caters to various dietary needs, and the ingredients are very fresh. Customers can enjoy dishes like duck fried rice, mushroom dumplings, and spicy cumin lamb. The space is beautiful with lots of plants and cozy sections, making it perfect for special occasions. Despite some occasional cold service from the main waiter, the attention to detail, especially in the play with textures, makes the experience worthwhile. Overall, Jatoba is a wonderful place for a special evening out, though it may not be the most budget-friendly option.
