Jellyfish Montreal - restaurant

Walked in to a modern busy bar filled with young business people enjoying libations and conversation. Most of the bar patrons ended up dining at large tables.

Upscale upbeat young crowd in a very contemporary atmosphere. Food was very
good and artistically presented, and our server, Dana, was very knowledgeable and responsive.

We enjoyed a bottle of of nice champagne and I had a perfect dry martini. The reviews I read before making the reservation were entirely justified in their praise.

I had wanted to visit this place for a long time, but I kept putting it off because I was worried it wouldn’t live up to the hype. I thought it might just be one of those trendy spots people go to mainly for photos and Instagram stories. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Looking back, I’m actually glad I waited so long — it felt like saving the best bite for last.

My boyfriend invited me here to celebrate our anniversary, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was warm, intimate, and perfect for a date night. We were seated at a cozy table by the window with plenty of space around us, which made everything feel private and comfortable rather than crowded.
(In some restaurants it feels like ur sharing a table with strangers. Glad i didn’t have this feeling here)

The service was exceptional. The staff were incredibly attentive and somehow always seemed to appear exactly when we needed something — often before we even had to ask. They were always one step ahead.

And the food was truly incredible. We’ve visited Michelin-recognized places in Montreal, but honestly, if it were up to me, I’d give all the stars to Jellyfish.

It was also such a thoughtful touch to receive a small dessert from the restaurant to celebrate our special occasion.

Made a reservation at this restaurant becausenit was close to our hotel. From the moment we walked in, it was a great experience.

The servers were very attentive and the food was unique and truly marked a signature of the restaurant's menu. We tried 2 of their appetizers and a main course and each had us craving for more.

Ambience was fitting for the overall experience.

Went jellyfish for a birthday dinner and it was excellent. The reason it was Echlin is because of the the waitress we had called Emma she was wonderful, thoughtful and caring with that strongly. Recommend.

Jellyfish is a great restaurant! The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. Our group especially liked the avocado carpaccio as a starter, and their homemade bread was excellent.

The only hiccup is the women’s bathroom. It’s confusing how neglected and unwelcoming it feels. I’m not sure what this kind of oversight reveals about the restaurant’s attention to detail … it’s definitely in need of renovation.

Food was good but not something I HAVE to eat again. Service was ok… my sister got a peanut allergy and threw up because there were peanuts on my steak that she didn’t know about (but we also forgot to disclose). Idk seems like it should have gotten comped or something ?? Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. BUT meals were still very tasty.

Gabriela was a fantastic server and took such great care of us! The food was fantastic (you have to try the Avocado appetizer!!!) and so were the cocktails. The broccolini wasn’t good but they promptly replaced it with a salad. We absolutely enjoyed our date night very much! 🤩

Pretty average overall. Portions were small and prices were a bit high. The oysters were tiny and not very good. Spent around $400–$500 and still weren’t full. The server was nice though.
