On March 1st, 2025, I had the pleasure of having Kanasuk Catering provide the buffet for my sister's funeral reception. The owner made the planning process smooth and stress-free. Although they offer set menus on their website, she was incredibly flexible and customized everything to our preferences. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and everything we requested was delivered exactly as promised. Our guests were so impressed that many asked who the caterer was before leaving. Her staff was also professional and attentive throughout the event. If you're planning an event, you can count on Kanasuk for exceptional service and delicious food.

I recently just moved to Montreal and as a Haitian myself, I went to this place twice as the most recommended in my area. The first time we went, the server barely paid attention to us as there were some men they kept eyeing in the back. They were rude and rushed to serve the people behind us. The second time we decided to call in prior to in order to avoid waiting in line. We called at 1pm to make the reservation for a pick up at 4 PM. At 3:50 we arrive and they told us that they hadn’t started the order and we had to wait another 30 minutes to get everything ready. I gave up and said Never again!!!

WORST Customer service ever!!! I asked 2 plate of fish fritay which they told me would take 20 min max since they had to get the plantain ready, i was ok with waiting for 20 min but 35 min passed by so I asked them how long would the order take since 35 min have passed by so the DAUGHTER of the owner told me that they haven’t started with the order yet and she asked me personally to wait another 10 min, so I told her to just give me rice instead if it would be taking longer, the daughter refused to do so and she said she will prepare it as soon as possible so I agreed to stay 5 min more, so 1 hour passed by and there was no return from the daughter so I went to the cashier to ask about the order and the cashier confirmed that the owner’s daughter did not prepare anything. So I told them to give me a refund so I can go home then, and the daughter had the gut to asked me for a receipt when they clearly charged me for the food. At the end the mother had to interfere and serve me the food that supposed to take only 20min. As an haitian restaurant representing our gastronomy And is the first time I see a plate of fritay with only 6 slice of plantain and a fish, FRANCHEMENT….

I used their catering service twice. The food was always exceptional. The service was outstanding and professional. They were even able to make a vegan version of Haitian soup joumou which everyone complimented.

The first time i went, it was really good... the second time the food had an after taste of old frying oil. The service was nasty, the girl who served me couldn't hear me over the too loud music. I love riz collé and griot but not at this place.

J'ai eu un service exceptionnel du début à la fin. Je tiens à remercier Claudette, Marie-Alice et tout le staff pour leur professionalisme, leur écoute, leurs belles recommandations.
La nourriture était de qualité, fraiche, savoureuse.
C'est certain que je vais faire affaire avec Kanasuk, je recommande vivement ce restaurant.
