We had a small party with our group. In the end of the party, the server asked us a fixed percentage of tips and handed us a terminal already put the percentage in saying that we must pay that percentage accroding to the restaurant's regulation on tips. This instantly ruined our pleasant experience at the restaurant. Also, while the staff was friendly, we did not receive exceptional service, just mediocre one because one of us took care of all the miscellaneous arrangements, such as ordering, taking care of people's requests, while staff were away from our table, chatting among them most of the time. I don't think just being nice and frendly to customer worth tips. And good service never asks customer to pay tips. The restaurant doesn't understand the service at all...

The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, especially the outdoor patio area in the summer. Service was excellent as well. Unfortunately, the food was extremely average despite being quite pricy. Selection was also limited and the portion sizes were small.

I really enjoyed the contemporary atmosphere, but outside of appearances, this restaurant is not up to par.I had their truffle ramen from the rotating menu, there wasn't no indication that I had anything different. Wasn't a fan of the broth, and in any scenario, it's just standard ramen. Honestly the best thing was the seaweed. For me, the main draw of Izakaya restaurants are the seasonal menus where the chefs can draw out their creativity, but their seasonal menu only had different kinds of sushi. . . and truffle ramen. The karaage was very crispy, moist on the inside, but it was really lacking flavour and the garlic mayo could not rescue it.For drinks, we got their neko punch, and it was also mediocre. It was empty when I came, and I could absolutely tell why.

Good Japanese food, but more fusion than authentic. On the salty side. Portions were generous, and drinks were tasty. The 7 samurai is a must try, and the matcha cheesecake was a great way to end the meal. Overall good experience!

We luckily got a table for four on a Saturday night. The place filled up shortly after.Fun menu. The big hits were the tempura prawns, fried calamari tentacles and fried oysters. The service was excellent. I didn’t get our server’s name. Long hair, green eyes, tattoo sleeve. They have a fun shot glass sake board for birthdays. They also offer free matcha cheesecake for birthdays.Clean and nice bathrooms. They even have mouthwash.

The service was average.Cocktails expensive, not very full of alcohol. The meals were good, carefully prepared and original. The high bill for the overall meal was quite disappointing.

Unfortunately, significant decline in the quality of service and overall vibe. Previously, exuded the charm and warmth of a traditional Japanese pub, which was a major draw for me and many others. However, during my last few visits, this unique atmosphere seems to have faded. One of the key aspects that seems to be lacking is the relationship-building with customers, which is integral to the Japanese pub experience. The interactions felt impersonal and lacked the hospitable touch that is so valued in such establishments.Additionally, the service was noticeably below par. The staff seemed unengaged and not well-versed in fostering the kind of environment one would expect in a Japanese pub. This change is especially disappointing given the restaurant's survival through the challenging COVID period.
