Good option for vegetarians: Had an egg and avocado sandwich. There were other vegetarian options including sandwiches, bagels, cream cheese, butters, & pastries.

I had high expectations for my first time in Montreal with my boyfriend.

We were expecting a good bagel and coffee but ended up with a mid sandwich and a watered-down coffee…

The bagel was nothing impressive I got the smoked salmon and my boyfriend got the turkey and bacon- but they were pre-made and barely warmed.

The coffee is what ruined the experience for me.

I ordered two regular lattes. From the espresso shots i could tell it was watered down. Even with whole milk the coffee tasted like dog water. I opened the cup and the milk wasn’t even foamed nor was there any taste of the espresso. I went back and asked the chef himself to fix it- he offered to “add foam” but I just asked for ice coffee instead.

Instead of making a new coffee from scratch (since it was horrible) he just poured both of them over ice. I was in shock as we realized the coffee was still WARM with the ice and was our original coffees- not newly made ones.

We left disappointed and stopped by a real cafe to get the experience we were searching for. By the way, we spent $50 for both of us and i would never recommend this place to anyone- perhaps a tourist trap I suppose.

Take my warning graciously and go to a real cafe.

I went today. My friend ordered a coffee and saw the man make it with old oat milk, she did not enjoy it as it had chunks due to the old milk. My coffee was fine. A worker claimed i could not have my water bottle since it was forbidden to have outside drinks. He also got upset when my friend and I used the bathroom at the same time, saying it was also forbidden, even though there was no sign indicating such and it is quite common for friends to use the bathroom together. Overall unpleasant experience. Wont be in a hurry to return

I rarely if ever post reviews for restaurants but I felt compelled to share that this place was incredibly disappointing.

It’s lost on me why this establishment has 4/5 star ratings, while the people at the counter were kind enough the bagels were beyond underwhelming.

I ordered the chicken pesto bagel and a very very small side salad and payed 29 dollars for it. Despite this I was open to and hoping it would be very good, and to say it was the opposite would be an understatement.

The bagel was dry and hardly warmed, the chicken was dry, seemingly unsalted and very dry and the salad was a tiny amount of greens, cucumber and canned corn.

It’s very disappointing to see places this up charging for low effort product when there are so many lovely local bagel shops what out so much into what they do, into their product.

The staff however was as I mentioned was kind enough and I’m sure is hard working, the product is unfortunately not worth the steep price. I was strongly discourage from eating at this bagel shop.
