9am Saturday, no waiting line. Nice, dynamic ambiance.
Tables distribution excellent, not to close each other, places for solo, couples and groups.
The attendants were very polite and well informed.
Prices are competitive.
They are different, with their own style.
Not mass coffee serving, good quality of ingredients. Presentation of plates need improvement.

Dear owner of l’avenue (Toronto location),
My friend and I attended brunch at your Toronto location on Saturday November 16th.
We waited in line for approximately 45 minutes. I was extremely disappointed with the prioritization of your friends when they came to the front of the line asking for a table. When I asked the staff why they were being seated before us and many others, your staff candidly stated that they were friends of the owner and that was why they were being seated.
First, I found this to be extremely disrespectful to all the customers who waited in line for as long as we did. Second, the ignorance of your staff to candidly say “they don’t have a reservation but are friends of the owner” was disappointing and upsetting. I don’t blame your staff for the ignorance, but hold you accountable as the owner. I would think it is common sense, as an owner, to be mindful of the impact to your business and paying customers the message this sends to those waiting in line. I personally felt unappreciated. If we did not wait 45 minutes and were 3 groups away from being seated (and very hungry), then I probably would have left.
The food and service were subpar.
I will not be returning to your restaurant and as a Toronto local, I will be sure to not recommend to others.

Vous devriez veiller à la qualité de votre succursale de Laval qui est LOIN de celle du Plateau. Le pancake au gâteau aux carottes est une vraie joke comparé à celui que je commandais en 2021. Presqu'aucun crémage au fromage à la crème, rien entre chacune des pancakes, résultat très sec ! vraiment je ne sais pas ce que vous avez fait de la recette de 2021 (et avant). Sans compter qu'en 2021, le repas L'indécis coûtait 19.50$ pour 3 items salés + 1 item sucré. Désormais c'est 24,50$ pour 1 item salé + 1 item sucré. Je comprends l'inflation mais 5$ de plus pour beaucoup moins dans l'assiette, c'est rire du client. Et la machine à interac que la serveuse nous apporte avec une suggestion de pourboire commençant à 18% après taxes ou 20% ou 25%... Quelle honte ! Pour un service tellement mauvais en plus. Rien à voir avec la succursale du Plateau où au moins le service est A1. Déçu x 1000. Moi qui venait depuis plus de 15 ans à L'Avenue
