When entering the restaurant we were asked if we had a reservation and we explained that we did not. Unfortunately the hostess was extremely rude and upset about this even though the restaurant was completely empty the whole time we were there. When seated the older gentleman forgot one of our cutlery rolls and instead of walking to our table he tossed it onto our table which we found aggressive and uncomfortable for a fancy restaurant. We then were served carbonated water which we thought was complimentary because it was just given to us without asking which costed over 8$. After dealing with the poor service and long wait times just for cocktails that were bad we chose to leave before ordering any food. After ordering two gross small cocktails + the waters it set us back 47$. If I’m going to pay for a fine dining experience I don’t want to be treated like a garbage. Would not recommend this place there are many other fine dining restaurants in old port that treat their costumers way better!

Terrible experience. Our host was very rude, and our service was very slow in an empty restaurant. No other customers, yet we watched and waited as the servers stood around and gossiped with each other instead of approaching us after being seated. Also watched our host throw hissy fits right in front of us towards the other servers because a table wasn’t set properly. Our drinks were very strong and gross as well. All around bad experience.

Lovely casual spot with French atmosphere and songs. We had salad Niçoise and French onion soup which were both fantastic, the best we'd had in a long time. The tuna on the salad was fresh and expertly cooked. Service was very fast, efficient, and friendly. We'll be back.

Went for brunch, party of 3. Very disappointed by the food (portion size and quality). I know Old Montreal is generally pricey but I have never felt like I wasted my money like I did here. Good service though and very nice ambience, but the experience was ruined by the food.

Excellent food quality and selection. Cheese and charcuterie is delightful. Service is impeccable. Ambiance is very provincial and charming.

What ambiance! Every couple feet, there's a pothos hanging from a basket or a cauldron. Interspersed with ceiling fans and wrought iron chandeliers. Wood beams against a white ceiling. French love songs I think (like I'd expect to hear on a gondola) and toe tapping folk music. My waiter was just as charming, with a kitchen staff working their magic behind the scenes. Between them they found a gluten free option for me and volunteered to clean the kitchen before starting it. It was a laid back afternoon meal accompanied by 3 glasses of sparkling cider. Just what I needed after 2 weeks of travel. Merci.

Original and beautiful decoration, amazing staff (special thanks to Gaël), excellent food (kudos to the chef) - and we tried many dishes -, very nice music from France's golden ages... It's our 3rd time here (we came with our family this time), and on Christmas they had changed the music and the decoration to celebrate it, including a fireplace. One of the best spots we've been to, definitely recommend!

Cute French cafe/lunch spot in old mtl. Has a beautiful atmosphere (plants all over with some French flair). Food is good, I would recommend the French onion soup I just wish it was a bit bigger :)

Amazing Gem in old Montreal, best brunch I’ve ever had. Service outstanding and the cutest location and ambiance

Definitely enjoyed the vibrant and homey atmosphere of this restaurant. Food was excellent, although service was a bit slow because of the lack of staff serving and cooking for a super packed restaurant.

This was such delicious honest and generous food. We have a fussy 7yo and it has been a struggle to feed him good food with no sauces or spices or frills. But half a chicken, smoked sausage, crumbed chicken, fries, gravy and salad later, we finally nailed it (and it was great value price wise). The French onion soup was the best I’ve had in Montreal, hands down, and cocktails hit the spot. Servers friendly and warm and the place was like a little cheery corner of Paris. Love loved it!

We loved the atmosphere (French music, lots of hanging pothos plants, nice French decorations & plates). The fondue was really good, especially with prosciutto & ham. White wine suggested was good too! The only cheese fondue place that was open on Monday!

Went here for brunch today and was honestly a very average experience. It was full to the brim due to rain outside and the food was alright. My problem was that I ordered a sandwich for 12$, and I was asked by the waitress whether I wanted fries or a salad with that. I thought that was pretty typical until I got my bill and realized that the fries were extra. Why ask as if it was included? Another issue I has was there was no English menu. Old Montreal is a very frequent tourist destination and I feel like the only reason not to have an English menu is to try and get more money out of non French speakers.Overall, I would not recommend until you have to.
