We had dinner at the bar of Marcus on a Friday evening. The atmosphere was very vibrant. The oysters were fresh and the pasta with lobster was just delicious. A great start of the weekend.

Stopped in for a couple drinks. Old Fashioned was ok but Whiskey Sour was the best ever.

Marcus is a fantastic dining experience! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. Every dish we tried was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making the service seamless. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to again and again—highly recommend!
This was my third visit to Marcus since 2022. I have never been particularly impressed with the food, but after seeing on Marcus’s Instagram that the restaurant is Michelin-recommended, I decided to give it another try.
To begin with, the service was somewhat disappointing. Our waiter, who came across as a bit arrogant, introduced the daily special. Due to the noise level in the restaurant — loud conversations around us and the music — I couldn’t clearly hear the last part of his explanation. When I politely asked if he could repeat the last sentence, he looked at us with a rather unpleasant expression and replied: “Do you want me to repeat everything?” This set an unfortunate tone for the experience.
As for the food, it was good, but not remarkable. If you are looking for a true culinary experience with outstanding service, I would strongly recommend Jérôme Ferrer instead.
The main positive aspect of Marcus remains its décor, which is undeniably beautiful.

I've had lamb in various parts of the world some good some not so good but for the first time I've had unreasonable. The cost compared to the taste was unreasonable. There wasn't much flavor. Just grilled meat that was maybe soaked in vinegar to remove the overbearing meat smell before it saw the heat? And throw it on a plate with literally two pieces of vegetables for 32CA a piece. A sub par experience. Maybe something else on the menu was better but you'd think there would be something to justify the price in the actual meal but there wasn't it was just simply unreasonable. The atmosphere was just dimmed lights nothing special no live music or anything particularly special to justify the price just a bunch of pretentious patrons. I can't in good conscience come back.

Service was far below expectations. Tomatoes served were not fresh. Main course food was believed required temperature.
Restaurant wasn't super busy but service was painfully slow and awful. Asked the server to switch tables and was told it was not possible because they were reserved, even though I had also reserved, arrived early, and there were tables free. Asked for an item off the lounge menu, was told it may not be possible but she would ask anyways. Was told no, then promptly 5 minutes later saw a table right behind us was served that exact same item we were told we could not order. Asked for a drink off their drinks menu, out of stock. Ordered dessert, served the wrong one. It was just one “no” after another after another. My boyfriend was keen on us having dinner here as I've never been and he used to visit often, but now he never wants to return again because of the service. A dinner which would normally have taken an hour, took two. Our drinks were empty for ages before we were offered another. Food was good overall.
