The Nashville Hot Tofu sandwich (with house-made tofu) is really, really good. The poutine was great for splitting, and it was some of the best I’ve had. You can get a shake to go and enjoy walking around the neighborhood.

When we got there, they were getting their food delivery, and the door was propped open. In November. So we sat there freezing almost our entire visit. Despite this, I was really keen on having a milkshake but was told they were out of ice cream. Anyway, the food was really good. Then we ordered the deepfried Oreos and we were told they were out of Oreos. The server went to check just in case and some had just come in as part of the delivery, so at least we had those.

We ordered tofu Nashville burgers at spice level ‘spicy’. But we were served something with over a teaspoon of Carolina reaper powder that left us in tears for twenty minutes after one bite and with an upset stomach for a week. Could not have a second bite. Will not be returning.

After I accidentally made my family walk an extra few miles through the bitter cold to get to Maynard, our spirits were low. However.... the piping hot plates of vegan poutine revived us! Even my non-vegan mom and sister who were very skeptical became massive fans of Maynard's poutine. In particular, we loved the vegan crispy chicken on top of some of the poutine. 10/10 recommend!
