Otto Yakitori is the spot if you’re craving incredible grilled skewers and a fire atmosphere. The food is consistently excellent — every skewer is packed with flavor and cooked perfectly.

You also can’t ask for better service. Fanny and Kina always take care of you with genuine hospitality, and Coco, the manager, is super kind and welcoming.

Honestly, it’s one of the best places to chill, eat well, and enjoy the vibe. Highly recommend!

Beautiful little authentic experience. The matcha cocktail and yuzu liquor are as amazing as the various grilled treats. My faves were the eel and pork belly.

Amazing customer service - staff was very attentive and friendly to us. Delicious and authentic yakitori & other Japanese dishes that are reasonably priced. Will definitely come back!

Had an amazing time at Ottol! From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and energetic. The staff kept the atmosphere fun the entire night — super friendly, quick with recommendations, and honestly felt like part of the crew.

We absolutely balled out and enjoyed every minute of it. Great food, great drinks, and even better people. If you’re looking for a spot where you can relax, have fun, and feel taken care of, Otto is the place. Can’t wait to go back!

Somewhat nice inside with huge sellection of saki. Expensive for small skewers. The Brussel sprouts were excellent a must order.
Left hungry and unsastified. Due to small place and loud music some drunk guy was screaming at the top of his lungs. Couldn't hear myself talk. They apologized for the idiot customer.

Really good yakitori. The sot-l’y-laisse was especially tender and flavorful, and the Otto set (6 chef’s choice skewers) was a great way to try a mix of everything. The curry (not pictured) had a nice depth of spice, too.

Service and ambiance were just okay (it gets pretty loud) but the food is excellent and worth the visit.

Been several years since my last visit to Otto Yakitori Izakaya. It was fairly busy for a late Sunday dinner. More of a light meal spot.

- Brussel sprouts ($9.00) - small but nicely cooked and topped with pumpkin seeds
- Yakitori Otto set ($19.00 for 6) - negihama, momo, tsukune, tebasaki, kawa and hatsu. All the skewers were tender, favourite was the heart
- Curry don ($16.00) - Japanese curry had a nice underlying heat to it. Had a couple potatoes, chicken and pickled ginger mixed in

It was our first time and definitely not the last. The food is really good and the atmosphere is great, felt just like in Japan. I recommend taking the hamachi tataki! The service was excellent, the girl was so nice and pretty. 100% recommend!

The food was good, but the service was honestly the worst I’ve ever had.
Even though we had a reservation, we were told to wait when we arrived — and we were even early. There were clearly empty tables, but they still said there were no seats available.
The servers were drinking and socializing with other guests the whole time, and not once did anyone check on our table.
It wasn’t even busy — they just seemed more interested in partying than serving.
Their English was also quite poor, which made communication difficult.
Overall, while the food was decent, the overall experience was awful.
I came from Vancouver to Montreal in a great mood, but this place completely ruined it.

So very happy with my experience at Otto. The food was impeccable - incredible seasoning and flavours, served at the perfect temperature and in a thoughtful order. The best fried squid I have EVER had. It will be tough to ever beat. The gyoza was delicious. The service was amazing excellent. Can’t wait to go back with friends and family.

Great atmosphere but service was just okay. We weren’t too impressed by the quality of food. Skewers were not bad, but not a fan of mustard and mayo combo with the baos.
