Pâtisserie St Louis De France is a charming French bakery that offers delightful pastries and viennoiseries, notably their exceptional Parisian pastries and highly recommended lemon tart, lime tart, and croissants. The owner is known for taking time to chat with customers, creating a welcoming atmosphere. It's an excellent choice for tea and pastries in Montreal.
The bakery has received mixed reviews, with some customers praising the owner's friendly service and the quality of the pastries, while others have mentioned high prices and a dated decor. The owner is described as being pleasant and welcoming, and the staff is said to be patient and accommodating, even speaking English to assist non-French-speaking customers.
The reviews highlight the delicious Baba au rhum and Paris-Brest, as well as the Napoleon, eclairs, and macarons. However, one customer mentioned a dry and hard-to-eat chocolatine from a previous visit.
Overall, Pâtisserie St Louis De France seems to offer a charming French bakery experience, with a mix of positive and negative feedback from customers.
