I have been going to afternoon tea of Rirz for years from when it was 29$ to now that is 64 . I love the experience and the ambiance. I would say. The sandwiches and scones were fantastic. I would say the sweets were so so this time.

Great service, great food, tasty mimosa and tea. Glad I was able to experience this with my aunts and grandma!

The food was excellent. But unfortunately the service was awful. We waited over 1 hour to be served anything. We placed our order upon arrival, and approximately 1 hour 15 minutes later, we were served our tea and food at the same time. It would have been nice to enjoy our tea beforehand. Also, one of us received the wrong tea, and it was cold. Completely inexcusable. We were seated at the top of the stairs, and we were very cold as the air conditioning vent points directly at that middle table. The food was excellent, but that was all. For $73 dollars, I had a tea latte that was not piping hot, and no better than Starbucks. Really not worth it. Had the service been faster, had the tea been hot, had we been attended to, I would probably splurge and go back. But not for this.

Disappointing. Do not recommend. After we got our tea no one checked on us again! We had to flag someone down after literally 40 minutes to ask for more water for our tea. Asked three times after that for more cream for the tea. Many of the tea items were lacking flavor. The ambiance is lacking as well. Feels like you are in the hotel lobby. Overall wish we had gone somewhere else.

It deserves a 5 stars but I only gave 4 due to the fact that when you use the tip % suggestions at the payment terminal, it applies the % on the amount after tax, which is illegal in Québec since may 2025. I called the day after and left a message to the person responsible for the restaurants at the Ritz but never got a call-back. While it is no big deal, it is a bit disappointing that such a prestigious institution would not comply with the law. Update: Someone did call me after my review and explained the technical glitch that they experienced for a short period and that it was solved.

Extremely nice experience. Two of my guests are gluten-intolerant and they were very impressed with the gluten-free option. It would have been nice to have some music in the background, like very low classical music. During our time there, a wedding party started to arrive and their photographer was taking pictures in the Palm Court area.... it was very pretty to see except for when we felt we were in the way.... we'd like to thank the gentleman that asked the photographer if they could take pictures quickly as the Tea guests (us and others), were having our own 'experience'. I've been here multiple times and have always had a wonderful time.

Enjoyed our anniversary treat. The petit fours were delicious. The service was outstanding. cons: 1) there was a conference at the top of the stairs that finished up while we're still there. The crowd was going through the tea service area and it just took away from the ambiance 2) we were initially told that parking was validated with the service. The lady at the front desk still tried to charge us $35 stating that validation was only for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It didn't make any sense at all that afternoon tea wouldn't be covered. 3) Definitely one of the pricier afternoon teas I've been to. But it was worth the try.

Such a great experience! I went for tea time with a few friends for my birthday and it did not disappoint! The service was super great and I really appreciated how they took the time to explain everything. The food was amazing and even though the portions are small we were all full by the end of it:)

Food was excellent, incredible craft, creative, so tasty. Scones the best I've ever had. Tea service seemed to be an afterthought. They had a lovely menu, but service was tea bags (not loose leaf), no steeping instructions, no consideration of water temp, and nowhere to place your tea bag after done steeping. For a high tea would love a bit more focus on the art of tea. .

Amazing time at the Ritz Carlton Montreal. There during F1 festivities, everything was out of this world. Excellent service as always.

Took so long to get our bill we left and let the front desk know to bill our room. Otherwise fantastic.

They greeted me and asked if I wanted sparkling or still water without disclosing the small bottle of sparkling water would cost $9. I finished the bottle of sparkling water and was never offered more water of any kind. The server made me uncomfortable at the end asking about the service after she saw I didn't tip. I didn't because the $9 up charge they took without disclosing.
