We went for afternoon tea today. Food was great, tea was good and decor and ambiance were amazing. The only disappointing part was the service… it took a while before they came and took our order. Then they waited until we were done sandwiches to bring the tea which I’ve never seen before. I went to afternoon teas all over Canada and Europe and I’ve never seen this before. Tea should be served even before the food. They offered a refill of hot water after we had finished all the food and were ready to pay…. Service was slow, I had to ask for them to bring out the tea and it took a while before they came to process our payment. Overall what they offer is great for the price point but they need to work on the service part.

First time at the palm court for the tea experience and it did not disappoint. We did have some changes to the food due to allergies and the chef accommodated us and blew it out of the park. Everything was so fresh , so tasty. The tea was exquisite and steeped to perfection, from the sandwiches to the scones to the pastries , the flavors were exceptional. The staff was so on point, knew what they were talking about and delightful from the second you sat down to the moment you left. 10/10 would recommend.

Afternoon tea service: Excellent service, attentive and helpful. Nice decor. Scones were very scrumptious. Desserts were delicious especially the creative chocolate one. Finger sandwiches were a bit hit or miss though. The shrimp one was too heavy on the dill for example. Presentation was perfect overall.

Way to expensive for what you get. Sandwhiches were wet and deserts not very good. We asked for a refill of hot water for our tea cup and we got a cold water refill, haha. Can't believe they charge 59$ per head

Dining at the Ritz is usually a beautiful experience. This was the third time I've experienced their high tea service, and while the service itself was beautiful, the quality and quantity of food has plunged. The sandwiches were incredibly bland, the scones were mediocre, and even the clotted cream was just ‘eh'. (I still don't understand how clotted cream can be not yummy!) One of the mini sandwiches was even soggy! The jams were nice....but that's it. I had ordered their masala chai, but that was probably my mistake. As an individual of ethnic origin, I perhaps had more expectations than I should have...the spices of the masala chai were barely discernible, and the tea was rather on the weaker side. Honestly, I suppose now all you're really paying for is the experience of dining at the Ritz. But if you'd prefer to pay for quality of food, there are several other tea services in Montreal that are vastly superior.

We had an absolutely perfect afternoon tea experience. The lobby is visually stunning and the seating is comfortable. From the 2 types of scones with 2 jams and clotted cream, to the 5 kinds of tea sandwiches to the 3 desserts, everything was delicious. The service was also impeccable. Have experienced many afternoon tea services and this is one of the best. Highly recommend.

Everything was perfect, from the cleanliness ans beauty of the china to the exquisite refinement of the sandwiches and cakes. Top notch service and lovely setting as well. Well worth the very reasonable price for such a refined experience.

Absolutely awesome from start to finish! Our server was outstanding— I love seeing her whenever I stay @ the Ritz— I think her name is LeighAnne— she has a bubbly personality and is always so kind and personable. My vegetarian options were yummy—(as always). My friend and I had a totally delightful time— augmented by a couple glasses of champagne!! Can't wait until we return— and we will! Treat yourself to an outstanding tea service— you will love it!!

I was disappointed that we weren't offered more sandwiches and more tea. I also found that sandwiches were very small. Once our waitress serviced us they never came back to ask us if we needed anything else. I've had better experiences at other afternoon tea places.

The best afternoon tea in Montreal, without hesitation. Everything is fine, exquisite, chic and the service is excellent.

This was my wife's 70th birthday and after a morning of ice skating we had tea and it could not have been any better. Food was amazing and ambience was great. Service was excellent!

I experienced “Afternoon Tea” with a friend. The place is beautiful and the service was very good. We knew that the tea service was expensive ($68 taxes included) for one person and we went there knowingly. The savory sandwiches were very ordinary and dry for those who were not on brioche buns. Very small portions. The scones were delicious though. We could only taste one type of tea and we were only offered a refill of hot water at the end of our tasting.Dietary restrictions: We were told everything could be adapted for dietary restrictions

The Palm court is amazing but on the other hand, needs to be booked well in advance!

I went there for tea time and the experience was really nice. In terms of food, everything was very good, especially everything that was savory and the scones, the only downside is the portions which are a little tight for two people but it's rather gourmet so we expect that. I was able to get coffee instead of coffee and it was incredibly good!In terms of service, it was really very good, very fast and the staff were very kind. The setting is pretty, especially during the holidays and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The price is very reasonable for the experience.
