As a Vietnamese I’m so happy to find this place on Mtl trip. Very authentic Pho, will go back to try the grilled chicken/ pork!

The waitress was super nice but spoke little English and no French and despite having shown the desired items on the menu, she still got 2 of the 4 items wrong. The grilled chicken was good but they also ran out of chicken for the 2nd plate and we had the choice of waiting 20 minutes for the 2nd plate or taking the pork and as we had young children who were not very patient, we took the pork which was much less tender.

The general tao sandwich is definitely not worth it. And we asked for no bread to just have the chicken but they didn't want it (we weren't asking for a better price, just to not waste the bread).

Wheelchair accessibility: Not accessible.

The beef flank pho is super good. The broth is very spicy! The price is perfect for the quantity

Asian inspired cuisine? Yes. Vietnamese cuisine? Absolutely not! I say as a Vietnamese person.

Small portions for the price served in awful looking bowls.

I paid about 22 dollars total for a chicken rice bowl and while the chicken was moist and juicy, the soy sauce and sesame oil glaze just didn't remind me of Vietnamese food. The broken rice is supposed to feel like individual grains of rice that just barely stick to each other; very light and airy but what I got was broken rice that stuck to each other and just felt very dense. It's also missing a sunny side up fried egg, which is typical of the dish. If anything, the dish felt bland and boring. Like the type of food you'd get out of a TV dinner.

Service wise, the girl at the cash was very inattentive. I came in and sat down with my friend and she saw us but didn't really greet us or tell us how to order. We then figured out that we had to order at the register and then sit.

When the food came out, she mixed up my order with the next table and we were the only 2 tables expecting food. My friend got a sandwich and the people at the next table were only expecting one more dish so I don't see how you can mix that up.

Dine in experience is awkward since there's no music and the room echoes so you can kind of hear everyone talking in the restaurant. You have to lower your voice a little to avoid letting the next table in on your conversation.

Overall, service was bad and nothing I ate felt authentically Vietnamese. It's more like a foreigner's interpretation of what Vietnamese cuisine tastes like. The fact that the meal also costs significantly more than other offerings in the area with significantly less flavour and pop factor leads makes it hard to recommend this place. Pizza Toni and Mile End Grill which encapsulate this establishment, both offer way better flavour and portion size to price ratio.

Uncooked imperial rolls (with raw chicken), average food in general, avoid. There are plenty of good Vietnamese places to eat nearby.

The Pho was of bad quality and very expensive. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the broth was cube. I've also been feeling unwell afterwards.

Worst restaurant experience I can remember. Didn't start well when it took about 8 tries to have our order understood correctly by the cashier. Then they brought the wrong items, visibly still confused about our order. My Bahn mi sandwich was simply inedible. The rolls were still cold inside and the outside soaked in oil. The worst offender was the wonton soup. The wontons were spoiled. Thankfully we tasted them before our daughter ate any of them. She would certainly have food poisoning otherwise. When we complained we just told to leave a review and that someone would call us back. We told them to throw out the spoiled food, but we're told that they never had complaints so it must just be us being too picky. This place will make people sick if they keep going as is.

Sadly, one of my worst dining experiences in a long time. The inside of the spring rolls were cold and the outside was soaked in oil and tasted like oil.The rare beef Pho was very cooked, the general tao banh mi chicken tasted mainly of breading and fat. Finally, the worst of all was definitely the soup served to my young daughter with rotten wontons. Fortunately, she offered me a taste before eating it.I spat it out immediately. It was guaranteed food poisoning. I notified and was simply told to write my review as it was the first time anyone had complained about the quality of the food. I asked for a refund and especially for the rest of the wontons to be thrown away.I advise you to avoid it. There are so many great options in Mile End.

Pho is delicious and generous half servings w their house mojito lemonade hits the spot. The vibe is good and the service very pleasant. Comfortable spot for a quick lunch on break just down the street from my Thai yoga studio.

Wow, the Vietnamese dishes at BEP St-Viateur are serious. Generous and succulent portions. The Banh Mi is sublime, not to mention the super friendly staff and the space is always clean. Highly recommended for good healthy food.

Pho at BEP St-Viateur? Just wow. Flavors battled it out then came together like a symphony in my mouth. Hearty, comforting, absolutely delicious. Good portion too, finished it feeling full but not stuffed. Recommended if you're into Vietnamese cuisine. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
