Most expensive meal in Montreal. Floor to ceiling windows. CAN$9 lentil soup portion size was tiny, and the soup was not as thick as I would have liked. CAN59$ Spanish style fish and seafood parrillada came with 20 mussels, 5 shrimp, 3 clams, several pieces of white fish, along with wedges of potatoes over a ratatouille sauce with a rich tomato taste. Thought this was seafood paella, but didn't come in a pot with crusted rice. Good portion, but the seafood got cold right away. CAN34$ fish of the day was swordfish with vegetables. Delicately flaked white fish, very tender to eat, buttery melt in your mouth flavor. Too small a portion for me -would have starved. Came for Barroco, but the restaurant next door didn't open until 530pm, so we ate here, along with the group on the next door table.

Amazing food, and Kevin was probably one of the best waiters I've ever had. Absolutely fantastic experience.

Very good food, served with care. On the other hand, the French waiter arrived at the restaurant with his hands-free kit activated and allowed us to enjoy his conversation without any discretion on his part for more than 10 minutes. He then served us without any good humor in a mechanical manner and without caring about us. In short, and we still wonder why we are called the “cursed French”???

A delightful Bistro in Old Montreal! This was our third visit, for lunch this time and we love how charming, comfortable and welcoming we feel with each visit. The menu is what I'd call Spanish/French influenced just as the name suggests. Everything is made in house and from the soups we enjoyed (especially the gazpacho and French onion) to the entrees (especially the paella) to the desserts - everything was deftly prepared, tasty and nicely portioned. We love how the locals met at what seemed like their appointed time to dine together and catch ups on local events and how first time tourists flowed in and those that lingered outside were quickly greeted and welcomed in by the staff. Make it a point to experience this lovely restaurant for yourself!

What an absolute Gem!!! If you like seafood and Spanish food you have to eat here!! The entrees were devine: cauliflower soup and strawberry goat cheese salad. The paella is absolutely amazing!!! Fantastic service and in the heart of old Montreal, what more can you ask for!! EAT HERE!!!

Many Spanish restaurants in Montreal try to get the paella right but miss in one way or another. I lived in Spain and have traveled the country. I can tell you with great certainty Pyrénées got it right! Loved my dish and the service was excellent! Highly recommend.

We stopped by for lunch. Loved the service and atmosphere. Ordered three starters: the mussel soup, the saffron risotto with chorizo, and the eggplant/zucchini/cauliflower. They were all amazing! We are definitely going back when in Montreal again.

Really excellent food, preparation, and service at every step! They even surprised me with a birthday treat, despite it being past the day, and no one asking. (That's a thing OpenTable knows, which I'd totally forgotten.)

In town for business for a week, first thing you should know is that I dined here four nights out of the six I was in town. That said, I should also admit that it was a week of very icy sidewalks and streets and this restaurant was less than a city block from my hotel, and the hotel didn't have any in-house kitchen (closed for renovations) so I needed a restaurant close by with acceptable food. This place definitely meets the bar of acceptable and I would say that their entrees are solid, if not great. A decent value, and good portions for one average size adult male. I found the staff very friendly, helpful, and enjoyable to chat with. The menu is somewhat themed as Basque and the prices are very reasonable for what they offer. The nights I came in the place wasn't very busy - it is a business district, after all, and the weather was not conducive to lots of walking or even driving! I had the veal stew twice, so that alone is an automatic recommendation. The filet was excellent, but I would not recommend getting it with the fois gras on top - it was fine without it, and the fois was not top notch. One of the best things about this place is the bread and spread - an excellent baguette served with an even-better blended tomato-olive oil-garlic dip - so good! I would bring folks here just to try the bread and dip! The nights I was here were quieter so the ambiance was great, easy to think and to talk, but it might get a bit loud if filled to capacity in the summer. The music, however, was not obnoxious and the songs themselves were pleasant and themed to the restaurant. I would definitely come back.
