This bar is only good for drinks, I’d skip out on ordering anything from the kitchen. The food is extremely over priced and overall it was just very sad looking and tasted bland. The ricotta cavatelli was 18$ and we had 6 pieces of cavatelli each, and the sauce honestly looked like baby vomit. The salmon tartare came with one sad tiny piece of bread that we had to cut in half. I know times are tough for restaurants and food costs but are you that destitute that you can’t put two slices of bread on the plate? This place should not describe these dishes as “sharing plates” because you don’t get enough food to share. The oysters were good at least, and our server did recommend a nice bottle of wine. However she forgot about us a lot and I didn’t appreciate that the oysters came out at the exact same time as the rest of the food. We ended up having to go eat elsewhere. There are much better bars with fairly priced food around in the area!
Nice spot for beer and snacks, good service . Nice neighborhood spot
Objectively the worst microbrewery in plateau. Like woah this is bad! Lemme do a comprehensive list:
1️⃣ Food:
Ridiculously overpriced for what you get. I counted — I received exactly 11 pieces of cavatelli for $17. And they weren’t even good! I’m astonished the restaurant dared to charge 16$. for that pathetically small chicken sandwich. Have you seen the size of sandwiches you can get elsewhere in Montreal for that price? Some are bigger than my face. I’m okay paying premium prices for small portions if the food is exceptional — but here, it’s mediocre at best, lacking seasoning and any standout flavors.
2️⃣ Service:
Abysmal. We were a group of ~15 people. We were given just 3 bottles of water for the entire table — and no one came by to refill or check on us for over two hours. We had to flag someone down for everything. The server asked for our names to avoid mix-ups, but when the food and drinks arrived, they just shouted the items across the table, causing confusion (and they even spilled beer on the table). One person in our group only ordered an orange juice and left a $2 tip — and the server publicly called him out at checkout, saying he had to tip at least 15%. That’s incredibly unprofessional. Is this because most of the group only spoke English?
3️⃣ Atmosphere:
PLEASE CLEAN YOUR WASHROOM IT IS IN A STATE OF DESPAIR. Water on the floor, and a suffocating smell of cheap air freshener. Very loud bar overall.
I lived in Montreal for 8 years. I implore you, go elsewhere!
Cool little place with good homebrewed beer. Food is good also. Small menu well done.

Great place, I've been there twice and I'm delighted. Only downside: it would be nice to mention, as relative as it may seem, the level of spiciness of the fried chicken (Buffalo, etc.). Personally, as it wasn't indicated, I took it thinking that it might be a little spicy, but there... Lord! It really hit me! So please, since spiciness tolerance is very subjective, indicate this to avoid a painful evening!

We didn’t eat here, only had a beer, but the service was great and we loved being able to sit outside and listen to the very talented busker.

My friend and I ordered a mojito and a bourbon lemonade and we agreed they were super sour. Yes I understand this is a brasserie so I am more accepting, but this was undrinkably sour. Had to ask for simple syrup which came quickly at least.
Waitress was pleasant and understanding. Waiter wasn't the best.
Decor was typical. Didn't even notice music. They have a nice terrasse.

Long live the Reservoir! The years pass and the quality remains unchanged. Plates to nibble or devour are always delicious. The team is always friendly, smiling and gives good advice ?
The beers are always fresh and the ephemerals offered are always a nice surprise. Special mention for the Rhubarb Ale, just right sour and very thirst-quenching ?

I went to Réservoir last Friday, and their special of the day, ribs with BBQ sauce, was simply delicious! In addition to their cuisine which never disappoints, they brew their beers on site. If you like IPAs, theirs is perfect for my taste: well balanced and refreshing. It’s definitely a place to try if you want to eat well while enjoying a home-brewed beer.
