The chicken was extremely dry with NO sauce whatsoever. I had to finish it by drenching it in ketchup. The fries were hard like a rock too. Not to mention cold… This is my first review ever and probably my only. This was a horrible experience. Funny enough the lady outside said the chicken was the best in Montreal… extremely far from it. Thumbs down big time, save your money and go else where.

We popped into Restaurant Jano after we spied the board out front advertising chicken quarters. We were happy to see many other delicious entrees on the menu. I ordered what turned out to be perhaps the most delicious lamb chops I've had in my life (one of my favorites whenever I have the choice). The host was welcoming and made us feel relaxed right away. The bill was surprisingly small for such good food. I could not feel any better about this place. 6 out of 5 stars.

Warmly decorated portuguese restaurant. It didn't look very busy on Friday night, service was quick. We got garlic shrimp appetizer and it was good, the grilled calamari didn't taste much, the rib steak although big was however bland and tasted like not marinated at all. Maybe that's how portuguese steak is supposed to be but we didn't like it at all, even with the spicy sauce. Overall it seems a bit overpriced.

It saddens me to give this opinion. I have been coming to your place for at least 15 years and I even had VIP discounts during the pandemic so much that I come to your place often. But it's been 2x that I have had a MERDIOCRE service from your employer in the name of MIGUEL.Angry, unpleasantly impatient, he insists that what I'm looking for doesn't exist when I've been buying for the 10th time to finally find it but makes me feel that it's not his business, he's bully and complains to his server. Janos has been my favorite restaurant for over 15 years but every time I am served by this man, my experience is unpleasant and I have never had a problem with the owners. This person is not made for customer service.THANKS

I hadn't been to this place in twenty years. It was a rainy afternoon and I was in the neighborhood. I was so happy eating my ribs, sipping the house wine, and above all, enjoying the most perfect french fries I have had in years!
I picked up one whole chicken to go, most of the chicken is burnt, charcoal burnt, whatever meat left is rubbery and tasteless.Very disappointing experience, the one chicken cost me 30$ with tip.Too bad, they lost me.
