I went with a group of friends, but one ran late. Our waiter Julien was very understanding and helpful even as the restaurant got busier. We never ran out of water and when our friend and food finally got here everything was delicious. Julien was quick, efficient, and nice so our time here was comfortable.

My food was a bit expensive compared to the taste, but if I come again I'll be getting pancakes or french toast as that looked and smelled scrumptious.

The atmosphere is nice, but it has loud music and a packed dining room so it was hard to hear across the table. The bathroom was a bit dark too. It was clean, but the lighting left me wanting more.

All in all, a great place for brunch and I would recommend it.

Words fail me in describing this gem of a place, its ambience, food and service appropriately. Delicious pancakes and shakshuka. Incredible service by all but especially our very warm and charming server, Jess. You've got to come here to know it! Highly recommend. And oh, excellent music!

We were at the Brossard location. 9am Saturday, no waiting line. Nice, dynamic ambiance. Tables distribution excellent, not to close each other, places for solo, couples and groups. The attendants were very polite and well informed. Prices are competitive. They are different, with their own style. Not mass coffee serving, good quality of ingredients. Presentation of plates need improvement. I'll go back.

Dear owner of l’avenue (Toronto location), My friend and I attended brunch at your Toronto location on Saturday November 16th. We waited in line for approximately 45 minutes. I was extremely disappointed with the prioritization of your friends when they came to the front of the line asking for a table. When I asked the staff why they were being seated before us and many others, your staff candidly stated that they were friends of the owner and that was why they were being seated. First, I found this to be extremely disrespectful to all the customers who waited in line for as long as we did. Second, the ignorance of your staff to candidly say “they don’t have a reservation but are friends of the owner” was disappointing and upsetting. I don’t blame your staff for the ignorance, but hold you accountable as the owner. I would think it is common sense, as an owner, to be mindful of the impact to your business and paying customers the message this sends to those waiting in line. I personally felt unappreciated. If we did not wait 45 minutes and were 3 groups away from being seated (and very hungry), then I probably would have left. The food and service were subpar. I will not be returning to your restaurant and as a Toronto local, I will be sure to not recommend to others.

Wonderful reception, took us right to our table. We do get placed next to the washrooms often, but it was fine at this establishment. The washrooms were unassuming at first but a discotheque once inside, I liked this part of the dining experience here.

The indecisive menu was fabulous. The portions were huge. The meal was warm and nicely flavoured. The bowl of coffee was plentiful.

We will go back of course. We might even try the other locations.

I enjoy this place, but I think it needs to be more consistent for a franchise.

I've been to a few locations and sometimes have ordered the same thing but it never comes out the same. The flavors is always there but the sauces will be more at one place and less at another. Fruits will overflow at one location, but you'll be lucky to get more than 2-3 at another. The St. henri is a hit or miss, and it's hard to say what to expect, but you will enjoy your meals and drinks for the most part.

I never have any complaints about the service. Everyone has always been super attentive and quick to serve. All servers have always been friendly and great to chat with.

To improve the atmosphere, the establishment should lower the music so the customers and server can hear each other. The person who was taking our order had a problem hearing us and mentioned it's a regular problem ?

Food :
Very well presented dishes , every dish we tried was very tasty too.
There are salty and sweet dishes.

Beverage :
Freshly squeezed orange juice was so good ?
The espresso was good, the latte was good too.
There is a huge variety of smoothies.

Ambience : fun & chic style good for a group of friends but yet family friendly.

Staff :
Always friendly and very accommodating

Pros :
1. If you go for a rush lunch time there often waiting line, it worth waiting though.
2. Tips started at 18% which is a bummer! We wish to give 18% by ourselves instead of semi suggestions / forcing.

Besides that all lovely.
We love going there
