First thing i want to mention is the service. The waitress on monday has a very nice smile and was very nice. She was always attentive to refilling our water and coffee. We liked her service and she was very nice to talk to. Besides the service, our brunch was delicious! Before coming in, i was actually craving a brunch burger but didnt see it in their online menu and was so happy to see that it was newly added. So it's basically a thick slice of french toast with cheddar cheese, 8oz of patty, an egg, lots of bacon and lots of onions too. Although its not exacly your classic burger, it was equally delicious and super filling!! My plate came with hollandaise sauce, a good amount of it, very delicious homemade buttery potatoes and a side of fruits. I found the portions good and big. My sister had a portion of 2 pancakes and those were also fluffy and big. I was already really full halfway through my burger, i think its cause the fat and grease was super heavy. I liked the food a lot and was pleased with the service. Our food was pricey but it was worth it. My plate was 21$~ before taxes.

Mom-and-Pop place. Convenient to bus stop. Good portions. Service was friendly but slow. We were there on a Monday morning and everyone was sat (several tables of 2-3 people) by the front window, which made for a tight fit and some difficulty in having conversation. Food was great and delicious.

We made it before the crowds on Mother’s Day and it did not disappoint! Three of us shared the Great Feast #3 and the Le Vieux St. Laurent waffle. Everything was delicious, but the buttermilk pancakes were a slam dunk! Great food and great service for an amazing price.

Great old school breakfast. Potatoes on the side of everything are amazing. We also loved the chicken and waffles as well as the crepes. Service was great and we loved the old diner vibe.

Rupa and Iris were great servers. The food is amazing and it made our Montreal trip all the more amazing. The prices are great and the food is hearty. We will be back soon!

I was very disappointed by Vieux St Laurent’s service. When I arrived, I was offered coffee or tea, which is included within the “festin” deals. When I asked what kinds of teas were available, I was told there was a green tea, which I chose for my drink. The server failed to let me know that this was a “herbal tea” and I would be up charged for this. It was 4$ not including tax and tip, AND it was just a basic green tea bag.

There was hair in me and my friends’ food, and we gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it was one of ours, as everyone in the kitchen was wearing hair masks. But then I saw a server walk food out with a hair hanging off the plate, that had obviously been dipped or had touched some runny egg white. Very gross.

Finally, the server then basically kicked us out of the restaurant by coming up to us with our bills (we had not asked for them), making us pay. At this point I realised I had been up charged 4$ for some basic tea, and hadn’t even gotten the included coffee/tea from my meal. I asked for a refill for my tea, and not even 1 minute after the server told us a table of 6 was coming in so we needed to leave.

As a server myself I understand when mistakes are made. But here, no apology or attempt to make up for the miscommunication was made.

The only great thing was the food portions and the food itself which was amazing, apart from the hairs.
