We had a wonderful brunch here in Aug 2025. There was a bit of a wait to get a table (suggest making a reservation), but it was still worthwhile. The seating is tight, so don’t expect much privacy - if that’s what you’re looking for, go elsewhere. It is bustling diner vibes here. Like many restaurants in Montreal on the weekend, Le Vieux has a line out the door for first-come, first-served service. We waited about 15 minutes before moving to the font of the line since we were only 2 and the four parties in front of us were larger. I love a hearty breakfast on a Sunday, and as the picture shows, Le Vieux delivered. Thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Service was great despite how packed and busy it was. It's not quiet, so don't expect a lazy Sunday...
Quite popular (very crowded as a result, but quick seating for a group of 2). Food was decent, a bit better priced than some of the other spots in the area. The staff were super attentive and frequently topped up our coffee cups.
